We used Cash for Cans Lancaster location for a recent school fundraising event (June 2021). From the first day I called to inquire about the fundraiser, the workers at this facility were helpful and easy to work with. They were able to answer all my questions since this was the first can and bottle drive fundraiser I had participated in. Our fundraiser yielded awesome results and the process of having the cans counted and redeemed was quick and easy, despite the extremely large (over 30,000 collected donations) order we dropped off at their location. Within 3 days, our bottles were all counted and redeemed. I worked mostly with the manager Dylan but all the staff were friendly, courteous and easy to work with. I was thanked each time I came to the store for giving them our business. They worked hard to get through processing this order. I received regular calls and updates as the counting was completed. I was impressed with their professionalism and their easy to work with nature. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a place to take their bottles and cans for either personal orders or if looking for a place to bring donations received through a can or bottle drive fundraiser. Read moreBoy, do I have an experience to review for you. First off let me start with this, if I could give this business zero stars that's exactly what I’d do. The entire staff at this location was so UNBELIEVABLY UNPROFESSIONAL with no idea how to treat a customer coming into their store. From the second walking into this store the workers made it known that they do not want to be there and then in turn took it out on us. The workers were so rude and were yelling over other customers to scream at people the way they wanted things done, instead of trying to help, and then refused us from dropping anything else off. The corporation should be ashamed of themselves for hiring workers who do not care whatsoever how they treat their customers. They were even swearing at my family while other customers were in the store and continued to say inappropriate things until we left (which we found out was the supervisor of the store, wow). I like it, but I am not sure a female employee at the Lancaster, NY site likes her job there even though she doesn't have to seperate and count every can/bottle anymore. I was there on Feb 14th approx 345pm. I had 12 6pks bottles and 4 large bags of cans. I emptied all as I thought I should only to be reprimanded for creating bottle jams on the feeder conveyor belt because I wasn't laying the bottles sideways on it. Then she proceeds to take all the 6pk cardboard that I placed in a garbage can out of the garbage can and tosses them all on the floor and tells me thats not a garbage can. I should have left them all on the floor for her to pickup for being so rude. Instead I politely asked her where they are supposed to go, picked them all up from the floor and put them in a corner that she pointed to "saying they go where all the other cardboard goes".
