Outdated, small tops with limited inventory, not very clean, expired food throughout the store. 2 years ago I had to point out to the manager that all of the prepared food in the display was visibly moldy, a case that's directly in front of the deli where they fry the chicken, walk past it to put the chicken on the warmer and no one bothered to throw out the food, guess because it wasn't their job. Dont buy prepared food here.
Wont buy meat here, too many times I've brought chicken and opened it at home and it smells off, most of the beef has brown spots but sometimes I'll grab a pork loin they had nothing to do with but make sure you check the expiration date on everything you buy, meat, milk, cheese, yogurt because they don't do a good job with rotating their inventory.
Lastly, a few weeks ago was there on a Sunday morning, the manager stood there telling a story to 3 employees with a line of 11 people being cashed out by an older cashier, self check out lanes weren't open yet and several people in line were complaining and he did absolutely nothing, excellent leadership. Pudgy dude with...
Read moreWhen I say this was the worst grocery store experience I’ve ever had, it is not conjecture. I am writing this review several days after visiting this store, and my rage has yet to abate. The posted prices for fruit and vegetables were WELL above anything resembling a fair price, and the prices we were rung up for were 1 to 2 dollars above even the high prices that things were listed for. $5 for pomegranate seeds that tasted like they were set in the sun to ferment for a couple days before being set on a shelf to be sold. $8 for a pint of moldy blueberries. If you want to experience a corporation trying to suck every dollar they can from the general public like a morally bankrupt leech, come to Tops. Nothing against the employees doing their best, the two we saw in the store at 5 PM during the rush seemed like they were doing the...
Read moreWe really like the convience of this TOPS and the fact it is smaller and less crowded for those of us who don't like crowds. They usually have what we want. You do need to check expiration dates though with this store as their volume of sales is less than the Lockport Superstore and they need to do a better job themselves watching expiration dates. Store could use some updating like they did to Wrights Corners or Lockport- Transit as this store was an old Quality Markets but this store is nicely located and the staff is usually very nice to deal with especially cashiers Christian and Joann. With this TOPS easier to find items without spending an hour looking for it and I'm not too thrilled they took Tim Hortons out...
