Double M Haunted Hayride Review:
The Iconic Hayride at Double M is a long and winding trip through the dark woods of Ballston Spa, NY and it features some familiar figures an Old West theme as well. There are alot of big scenes along the way on the Hayride featuring alot of the usual themes, and I really liked the Old West part as it's really unique to this Haunt. There are also 4 walkthrough Haunted Houses that run consecutively once you get off the Hayride. Brutality has an industrial feel to it, and should be a major part of their Extreme night on November 1st. If you are looking for even more intense scares and situations this one night only version of Double M would be worth it to check out.
The Last Inn is a cool attraction and has all the tricks and surprises up its sleeve as part of it's scares. Some cool special FX in this one.
Jingle Bell is a Christmas themed house that I hope they keep and expand on as it was fun and different, while still being very visually appealing. The Santa in here may or may not be alive. This was my favorite house here.
Maximum Outage is a metal fence maze with lots of fog, low visibility and all the dark shapes along the way may just be waiting to jump at you. We didn't catch too much of the sideshow act but that looked pretty cool as well.
All in all they have plenty of entertainment here, as well as food, and the show to make a full night. The Hayride is of course the star of the show, but the houses all bring something different to the table as well. Check them out tonight as a Halloween tradition or on Friday night if you can handle the intense, Extreme scares they have in store.

Read moreI have been coming here year after year. With Covid....I decided to give this a try. However.....I am very disappointed as well. First I spent 45$$$ to go through a 15 minute “drive thru”. I may have been ok with the price if multiple rude employees didn’t ruin the experience. First, driving was difficult to also see the props. An employee then said,”. You are driving way to slow....you need to hurry up.” With little scaring going on.... the only benefit of this drive thru was at least to look at the props....just seemed they were rushing you through as fast as possible....maybe to get someone else’s money! Secondly, you had to tune in to 98.1 where you were listening to stories or creepy music. Which is fine....however I think we missed some of the other things that may have been said by actors on the “drive thru”. About midway, after passing a prop....an employee shouted something about phones. Not sure what was said because we were already driving away....at the next stop another employee approached the window and said, “I know you were already told to put the phone away.....if we catch you using it again we will escort you off the property “.....first of all that was rude and embarrassing. Other people have been posting pictures and putting them online....but we got harassed. What was the big deal! We live in 2020 where everything and everyone is photographed or recorded. What are you afraid of?....someone stealing your prop idea?.....please....give me a break. In the end the rude employees made this experience TERRIBLE! I will be exploring different HAlloween things to do with my...
Read moreI’ve always wanted to go on a haunted hayride ever since I was little. However, growing up in NYC it wasn't achievable. I’m visiting my boyfriend for the weekend and we decided to go on one. After sifting through tons of sites and reviews, we picked this place.
I really enjoyed it. It’s been in business for 27 years and the space is usually used for rodeos during the off-season. Not terrifyingly scary but great for those wanting thrills and surprise scares. We got the VIP tickets for $45 each online for 9pm. We skipped the line at the entrance and saw an interesting circus side show while we waited for our hayride. There was also a cute little gift shop as well as a handy First Aid shack. What a great idea! Also, the VIP tickets come with a voucher for a free cup of Apple Cider and a Cider Donut.
SPOILER The VIP hayride had school bus seats (2 people per seat) which was comfy vs the General admission hayride which consisted of hay where people sat all around the perimeter. The actors were coming up along the side of the hayride as well as on it to scare us and get in our faces. Everyone was shrieking while also laughing. After we went through various towns and scenes, we got off and finished with walking through other...
