Yesterday as I was traveling to visit my dad, I got a flat tire. I was stranded on the Corner of 331 and Route 29 waiting for a tow truck for 2 hours. I called Comstock's in a panic as my Roadside Assistance initially wanted to take my car to Yorkville! I told them there was a garage right in Dolgeville which was 7 miles away! (this was around 3 p.m.) As the time was getting closer and closer to 5 p.m. when the garage was closing, the woman that answered the phone at Comstock's assured me that I would be taken care. When arrived at Comstock's, it was after 5 p.m., they were not angry, they got my car right in. The mechanic checked in the back to see if he even had a tire that fit my car. He stated he did not have a "new" tire but a "used" tire and though the replacement tire was not new, there was adequate tread on the tire that was replaced. I left feeling so confident, as he checked all of my tires. These days, I feel there are not many people that would wait for someone, but these guys did just that. The staff is very friendly and helpful, I came here with a very unique problem of not having a special specific key to take off the hubcaps of a newly purchased vehicle that locked onto my tires as an anti tire theft measure back in the 1980s thankfully they were the only ones in town to have the tool and even though I heard them scheduling appointments 3 weeks out on the phone and they had customers vehicles in the shop they took the time to give me immediate full service by using their shop key tool to remove my hubcaps so I could do general maintenance work to my new car, if you have a simple but unique problem regarding an antique car these people treat you with respect and deserve 5 stars plus a tip for excellence even though they charged me no fee it was still less expensive to just hand them 10$ for the 10 minutes it took away from their busy schedule, would recommend and use them again if ever I had a unique problem or need a unique tool that's not typical of your...

I swear Comstocks has got to be the best auto place around. Collin and the staff are excellent, they always do what you ask and have very very good communication. They dont do unwanted repairs without asking and are very honest people that very much care for you as a customer. Ive recently moved to Herkimer and i could easily go to other car places closer to me but i still go to Comstocks because they make the extra 20 minute drive worth my time. Ive heard horror stories of other auto places around the area (especially walmart) and it makes me that much more grateful to have Comstocks to trust with my car.
