OK, how do I say this fairly. I live 45 minutes from this destination so I'm committed to getting a great taco experience. It's not a restaurant so your expectations will require more exploration. This is a family run little mexican store with a taco truck in the back. That said,if you like true Mexican products, such as salsa, pan dulce (a sweet fluffy pastry, cookies and bread rolls for sandwiches). Tortillas, Mexican can goods and drinks, etc.) They make fresh tamales also. Now the taco truck : The menu is only taco's; I've tried all of them. Carna Asada, carnitas and barbacoa. These are fresh daily, CALL BEFORE you go, times vary when he serves. The barbacoa are a special , so ask for that not a taco, it is awesome, God my mouth is watering 😋 Carne Asada is good and the Carnitas is Chopped so little, it loses the flavor, so very disappointing 😞. Read moreThis place is great! They have all the Mexican grocery staples, and the prices are very reasonable. It was over a 2-hour drive for us, but totally worth it! I got my beloved conchas, and my kids were thrilled to grab their favorite fresh duros (we even stocked up on the uncooked ones for home).
Just a quick note: I wouldn’t call this a carnicería since there’s no fresh meat counter, but they do have a decent frozen meat selection.
We also had lunch here and WOW — hands down the best street tacos we’ve had in New York! Can’t wait...
