I'm not sure how to describe Dr. Hannan but if two words hit it then it would be careless and rude! I don't know Dr. Hannan personally but he does provide weekend on call service for other family medicine locations based in Rochester, NY. Unfortunately my primary care physician retired this year, which led me to go to a new primary care provider, unfortunately the refill of prescriptions seems not to work all to well in that facility. As it happened, one of my essential prescription was not called in to the pharmacy ontime as already couple times, so it was Friday evening and my medication was not ready for pick up. The pharmacy recommended to call the on call physician since it was after hours. I already did that 3 times before and it was never an issue to call my medication in for the on call physicians since they could log in to my chart and they were able to see that I really needed the medication which happens to be a controlled substance and I was out of it since 3 days! They even apologized that it got forgotten for 3 days. This Friday evening it happened to be Dr. Hannan who was on call. He told me very brisk and rude, that he would not call the medication in! I asked him why that was, he told me then very condescending that if it wasn't called in by my regular Dr. then there is a reason for that and he would CHOOSE NOT to call it in! I explained him then, that the only reason that it wasn't yet at the pharmacy is that the regular provider forgot again as already 3 times before. He answered me again very rude, that he does not know me so he is choosing not to do It! I asked him if he could take a look in to my electronic file and then he would see that I'm in need of that medication and I would go 5 days without if I had to wait until, Monday. He then got even more condescending and kind of yelled at me, that he is done with the discussion! Well, that said he not only showed how careless he is but also that he endangered a patient. If he provides on call services then he maybe should be ready for requests like that too or they need to discuss issues like that interim. After that I was miserable for the whole weekend, couldn't barely function and I have a baby and a toddler to take care of. It is a very irresponsible professional or I even would like to call him as a...
Read moreCompletely let down by this practice. Husband is 55, overdue for screening colonoscopy. Went n for symptoms of a hemorrhoid and needed a colonoscopy. With no discussion of options ordered colonoscopy as diagnostic, instead of screening which then cost thousands of dollars instead of being a covered exam by insurance when symptoms were not of urgent nature like colon cancer. Beware if you don’t have thousands of dollars to spare to keep you from financial ruin because your primary care physician is supposed to advocate for you instead of feed the despicable machine of fraudulent...
