Dollar General — Local services in Town of Mayfield

This Dollar General would have gotten an easy 4 out of 5 stars if more was done to put away there items that they order to stock the store with. This place is a great and much needed addition to Broadalbin a small town in need of local shopping. You can tell by the sheer number of people that frequent this store that it was something needed in the Area, so if you go here prepare to be in line for at least a few minutes some of the times your there. This store also seems to have tried to take on the role of local grocery store as well, although they don't have everything a person needs, they do have some of the essentials needed to get you and your family by if driving further to a bigger store isn't a possibility. They need more room at this store plain and simple, they have the right kind of selection but lack the places to put it and I would be prepared to have more then just a few dollars if you intend on shopping here. Although a lot of items found here are low priced and close to a dollar most of the items at this location are actually above the 2 to 5 dollar range. The selection of items are good but most of it is always located in boxes on a pallet in the middle of the stores walk ways and you have to move or reach around them to find and grab certain Items on shelves, that's why I give this store a 3 out of 5 stars, its a good store with nice employees that just seems to always run out of enough room to stock...

Online pickup was a nightmare. Order was placed around 10am and went to pick up around 3:30 pm. Order wasn’t even processed and there was like two people in the store. Associate says they were really busy and had no time yet the four employees couldn’t designate one person to do it. Great for quick pickups just don't go at a peak time like 5 pm on a week day guaranteed wait to check out and its always that way at least they are consistent i guess.
