I paid for bait while waiting for the person in front of me to receive his. Jim’s son proceeded to get my bait and I exited the store. He ran out behind me and yelled “Hey! Are you gonna pay for that?” Across the parking lot. I was highly irate at the accusation. I told him maybe he should check with his his cashier (young girl) before calling me a thief. He never even apologized he just turned around and went back inside. I will never patronize their store again. Jim is a nice guy but his son has some obvious character flaws and his manners and common sense are nowhere to be found....

We moved up state 17 years ago and my son Freddie always says Jim's Bate shop is a part of his childhood a favorite part ...he grew up with Jim and what an incredible kind and all around good guy he is...we went today again and talked about special funny moments we've had through the years and I always leave feeling like I visited a family member...♥️ I feel like Jim's is a right of passage for every young fisherman or fisher woman... like if you're really from here then you know Jim and all his awesomeness !
