I waited at the front counter until the manager was finished with the customer ahead of me. Then I asked for a lottery ticket and handed over $20 to pay for it. Then I asked to have the two items I had cashed out. The manager that was working the cash register told me that my card wasn't being charged for the full amount. Total was $38 and change but it would only charge my Visa the $18 and change. Ok, no idea what's going on. She continued to tell me that there was nothing she could do. That it was me or something wrong with my card. Three times and then was going to show me her screen. I had no idea why she was getting so irate with me. Then I asked what was on the bill. She said the lotto, the beer and the desert. I asked her about the $20 I gave her for lotto. Suddenly the lightbulb lit. Thank God as I don't know how she could be more dim. Read moreThis is Mexico's only grocery store and it's small and can be expensive and I'm just not a fan of Tops. I like to shop when very few people are around which is usually in the early morning BUT they have people doing the floors and/or stocking and I cannot stand the sound of the floor cleaner. Sometimes there are so many cartons in the way with no one around that you cannot get to areas you want to shop when the stocking is happening. I've had some not even say as much as "Hello" or "Have a nice day" and have overheard a cashier complaining about how she hates cashing out "wic" customers. Their prices are over the top insanity for everyday household items. I don't go here unless it is absolutely necessary and I can't find what I need elsewhere.
