Dollar General — Local services in Town of Mount Morris

With nowhere else in town to shop for basics, this store is always busy. It's always too warm inside during the hot summer temps. It's a maze to navigate aisles with the remodel now. Due to shoppers with carts or stock carts blocking aisles. There is always only one cashier working. No self checkouts. So waiting in line is standard. You have to bag your items yourself though. Then remember to get your receipt from the dispenser below. There is one employee who must get a kick out of approaching the cashier that's working, mumbling something to the cashier and strolling away. I arrived at the store located in Mt.Morris, NY at 8:38 on 6/27/2025, I only needed 3 items, as I pulled up the associate was locking the door, she opened the door back up and said "You're lucky I unlocked the door, we close in 15 minutes so get your stuff and get out. This was stated to myself and another patron. I got my 3 items, and went to the register, the timestamp on the receipt was 8:45pm, cashier was Heidi (same person that unlocked the door). I usually don't give bad reviews, but this was inappropriate. I will not go to any other Dollar General but the 1 in Mt. Morris New York, 14510. The manager there I believe, her name is Joyce. That lady is FANTASTIC at her Job!!! She is by far the most helpful, kind, compassionate, considerate person I have ever come across, while out shopping. I don't care what your problem is or what she is doing, she will stop, drop & offer her assistance when she sees a shopper is struggling, in need of assistance, or in severe pain. Like Myself. If there is an Award for people like her, She Deserves that Award, in Gold!!!! It doesn't get any better than that!!!! Joyce has my Vote for anything & everything she does!!!!...
