American Legion — Local services in Town of Newstead

Kind of snobby and stuck up it seemed they were miserable and even wanted to force a 20 per cent gratuity on the bar bill. They also nit-picked about everything including reminders about not smoking inside or near entrances, not taking drinks outside, cleaning up, not using the backdoors, and they even made the band use the front doors and walk forever and a mile with all they're equipment, etc. We sorta wish we'd held the retirement party elsewhere, but it went almost as smooth...

Visited the first time on a Friday night for a fish fry. It was great. So I made reservations for a family party. It was easy. The ladies at the Legion put things together, just as I requested reserve the hall, open bar and The best wings I’ve had in Akron New York ever.must’ve been the new cook. Thanks to all at the Legion. I appreciate our veterans, so I attend the early-morning Memorial Day flag-raising, but this organization does much for the community, as well. People use the venue for personal party/reception-type functions, and they also hold charitable fundraisers here. I do not drink, so I do not enjoy the bar, but at least it is in a room separate from the two large...
