I would like to start out by saying that I am not a huge reviewer of things as everyone’s taste is different. I am even less likely to write a bad review, especially toward a “small business”. This is the exception. The only reason there are any 5 star reviews for this place is because they bribe you with free apple cider if you show them you left a 5 star review. I’m unsure if this attraction is geared toward young children or adults 18+. We started on the hayride guided by a man talking about circumcisions and his “personal life” if you will, so I’m assuming it’s intended for an older audience. This comes as a complete shock as I performed in “The 13 Original Colonies” play in elementary school that had better theatrics than anything in the “Haunted Forest”. After that nightmare, we headed to the corn maze. A member of our group had a hurt knee, so we were slow and cautious as the ground was very uneven (I get it, it’s a corn maze). The maze still only took us a little over 4 minutes to complete. The haunted shed was next, and the last chance to give someone in my group of 5 a little scare. Sadly the walk to the car was longer than that attraction that had 3 actors in it. I wish I would have read the reviews before making the 45 minute trip out for around 35 minutes of whatever that was. I am extremely disappointed, and our 45 minute trip home was complete disbelief as to how awful that “attraction” was. We paid $30 each because it was a Sunday, but I feel like I overpaid by $30 plus the gas to get there. Before the owner tries to call me out on being a competitor (like it’s such a popular space in the 716) I am just a normal guy who wanted to have a good time with some friends. You also will not see my name in your “customer data base” because we went as a group and I wasn’t the one who purchased the tickets. If this was in my backyard I wouldn’t go let alone a 45 minute drive. Spend your time and...
Read moreLet me start by saying I love anything that is haunted/scary/fall related...I also never write reviews. This is my first one.... BUT THIS "HAUNTED" experience was terrible!!!! 2 tickets was over $100 WHICH IS INSANE!
The haunted hay ride was so cringy and lame. Reenactments of movie scenes and the voice overs were terrible! I don't even think this would scare a child. They should have had people jumping out while riding the hay ride or decorations along the ride. I laughed pretty much the whole time and also cringed almost the whole time at how bad it was. There was so much potential for this to be GREAT!
The trail of "fear" was not good. I had no fear the whole time. Again so much potential for that to be scary and great. THE ONLY THING I liked was the music... someone played Sleeptoken over the speakers which was the best part about the whole thing.
The "haunted" Corn maze.... was EVEN WORSE! We walked through that corn maze in like 5-10 min and not ONE actor jumped out until the very end there was a guy with a chainsaw that I seen coming.
To end my rant... I wish I could have my money back and my time back. I WILL NOT be going back. If this was $5 I would probably still say I want my money back. I left being VERY dissatisfied and Underwhelmed. PLEASE everyone do NOT waste your money on this.
1 last thing... I smacked my knee on the metal bar on the seat Infront of me on the hay ride when it stopped. Just add that to how disappointed I was with the whole...
Read moreI am a huge Halloween fan. I love trying and supporting all the local haunts. This one has SO MUCH potential but it really fell short.
Almost $100 for 2 adults. That's insane, but i wanted to give them a fair shot. The hayride, I timed it, was almost 15 min. The narrator on our wagon was great. But it was lackluster. The wagon stops back in the woods and you depart into the "Trail of Terror". No lie, this was mostly empty. 2 indoor sections featuring actors. Then a long quiet empty walk back to the main site. Big miss there. I can see why this wasn't printed on the ticket as an attraction...
Lastly, the corn maze. This was creepy at first. Actors hide well in it. But we were mostly wandering around alone and we felt we werent even on the correct path with no workers around. By the time we got out, only 50 min in total had passed to complete all attractions, including a cider break. $50 for 50 minutes per person...
The roaming actors were great. The clowns were so fun! They are the only reason I'm not giving 1 star. This place had those huge HD skeletons and werewolf props but none of them were lit.
There also were 2 shows that we watched trying to get our moneys worth. Nothing remarkable to make it worth the price.
I want to reiterate that I wanted to love this event. We are lacking good haunted hayrides in the area. And who doesn't love a spooky trail! However, this does not offer enough to warrant nearly $50 after taxes per person. ...
