Nichols Rest Area — Local services in Town of Nichols

This area has beautiful large maple and oak trees that turn orange and yellow in the fall. The restrooms are clean and the faucets have hot water. The soap doesn’t smell very good but it works. The women’s restroom had four regular stalls, and one handicap stall. The regular stalls did not lock properly except for one. There is a building that once was the tourist information office that is now closed. There are some vending machines on site. The dog walk area is large. There are approximately 16 picnic benches on the grounds. The entrance for passenger cars was closed when I visited the rest stop on October 24, 2024. Safe and relaxing rest area Very clean and safe location. Would recommend to stop If you need a rest. Bathrooms are okay. Nice area to relax and enjoy the nice weather. Stretch you're legs after hours of driving. I didn't feel unsafe taking a nap and walking around. Grounds are taken care of as well . I stopped during the day / afternoon. I belive that they had grills. But let's be real ....
