Vic's refused to give me a credit for a full, unopened box of flooring tiles ($100+) after they did a flooring installation. Vic's did the measurements and therefore should be responsible for over-ordering of product. I went in to the store and explained this when I tried to return the tiles but I was told in a condescending manner that they would not accept a return because I would be likely to need replacement tiles down the line (as if I was unable to make this decision for myself. I also explained that I had several extra loose tiles that I was not attempting to return.). My building contractor then contacted the owner of Vic's, explained my frustration and was told the same thing. My contractor was really surprised at the unwillingness of Vic's to do anything for me on this problem as he sends Vic's a lot of business, including my two-room flooring install which ran several thousand dollars. I was willing to meet Vic's half way on this, such as taking an in-store credit for half the cost of the unused tiles (~$50) but they were unwilling to budge. They'd apparently rather tick off a good customer and risk future jobs from a local contractor than work towards a reasonable resolution. While the workmanship was good and the price was a little high but reasonable, I can't recommend Vic's because of the way that they handled this situation. They over-order materials and the customer pays for their mistake. I will not be giving Vic's any business in the future and I will tell my friends and neighbors about how unpleasant it was to do business with Vic's. I'd recommend that you go...
Read moreEverything about the experience with Vic's was a pleasure. From the very helpful advisor, Jennifer, at the store giving us ideas and helping us find the right tile to select that is perfect for our bathroom floors, to Tom, the technician who came to give us the estimate and help us lay out how the flooring would look best in the bathrooms, give us several suggestions on what would work best to complete the flooring and answer any questions about how the work would be done, to the installer Dan, who was the friendliest and most skilled craftsmen I have ever encountered and who did a masterful yet efficient job of installing the tile and finishing all of the fine detail work, everything went perfectly. We couldn't be happier with the job. My thanks to all for the fine help and workmanship that will keep us faithful customers for any future tile or carpeting work. I highly recommend...
Read moreThe condo worked on was built in the 70s. So many layers to go through. Dan was our installation guy, and he was 👍. Hard working hardly even took a break. At the time they were installing our floors, I had a group working at a different location and because I wasn't there to supervise the crew was standing around talking and at that time I didn't know if I was paying by the hour. My point being, the quote you get is what you pay, no need to worry about lazy! Definitely not my experience with this company. Great job! We will be hiring them to finish carpet on our stairs and basement when we can get it ready. Michelle (front desk) was knowable and very helpful in helping pick flooring for our needs. Thanks to all of you there. We'll be talking soon. Next...
