For the past 9 weeks Iāve had my 2014 dodge grand caravan for approximately 2 of them. I bought the van approximately one year ago to start a Local Taxi business. When I purchased the van, it needed a transmission which I bought from Ruges directly. Within that year, the transmission then blew again so I had Ruges put another one back in because it was still covered under warranty. When I dropped it off due to the age of the vehicle, I specifically said to Gary the service manager maybe I should walk out on the lot and look for something new. He then advised me with the exact words of āIām telling you without telling you go look at the Toyota siennaās or the Honda Odyssey do not buy another Dodge. They are junkā. I kind of just laughed it off and ended up leaving. Now I understand with waiting for an approval through the warranty company may take a few days, but at that time they had my van for approximately 2 weeks minimum. I had rented a vehicle in this time and cost over $1000 for a week. Calling the dealership back inquiring about my vehicle was told āitāll be a few more daysā but I was not renting another vehicle because it was costing me more money than I was actually making so Eric who is absolutely awesome down there gave me a loaner for a few days. After getting the phone call that my van was done. I went and picked it up and drove it for approximately two weeks only to find that the transmission was going again. After having it towed back down to Ruges, I had to start the whole process over! With a lot of attitude from Gary the service manager made this time not so easy. (Mind you this guy has the personality of a wet noodle). I asked if maybe I could get a loaner car again and he said absolutely not warranty would not cover it! Well, after numerous phone calls and a lot of attitude five weeks later I got the phone call that my van was done. Within that time I actually took Garyās advice and went to Romeo over in Kingston and bought a new vehicle.(not a dodge). There is a whole lot more to my story and I could go on and on about brand new parts that were put into my vehicle that were not authorized and so on and so forth. Needless to say, I will never ever deal with this establishment ever again and I am actually surprised Mr. Ruge allows somebody like Gary to treat his customers like that especially small business owners in a local town. I urge anybody whoās looking for a new vehicle to take Garyās advice and go somewhere else else to buy it. You wonāt be disappointed with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI purchased a pickup from this place date of sale was 1/17/24 and it was a certified pre owed 2021 ram 3500 I knew previous owner had he absolutely loved the truck just didnāt want the big payment anymore so he sold the truck back.. I bought this truck and seems itās having more issues then I know what to do about it.. one thing was possibly self inflicted by me as I cannot prove otherwise and that was putting wider tires on it about 2 months after purchase and now Iām on month 5 and just getting the truck back from the dealership from having a transmission replaced due to other issues that had taken place before I put the wider tires on.. now around month 2 of purchase I also put on an aftermarket intake that was not going to hurt warranty.. back to the transmission.. it was surging going up hills and I knew it was not right and back and forth with dealer came to the conclusion to put a transmission in.. they did and I still have the same issue but now Iām itās from aftermarket intake and they are not sure what to do next.. from start to finish in the 5 months of owning the radio needed to be replaced 4 days after purchase.. the. Cab mount needed to be replaced 3 weeks after owning.. the transmission had to be replaced 5 months after owning ( would have been sooner but was on back order) and sometimes I canāt get into the tailgate because it locks and wonāt unlock sometimes and was told they oiled things up but seems electrical.. it also has smelled like coolant from day one and I question the salesman about it and his response was all new cars smell that way.. the warranty on the truck is just powertrain so transmission was the only thing covered I donāt know maybe this is more of a rant then anything but I also feel as I am paying on a pick up that was 53,000 dollars that is not worth it so I feel as if itās going to be a nightmare of a vehicle and they know about it..it just seems like a lot to go wrong...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOriginally I had given this dealership 5 Stars. I bought a New Ram Laramie with a Cummins diesel. I originally left the review right after I drove the truck home. Unfortunately, that is when the issues started. I am a huge supporter of local small businesses and keeping my money local. I was in the market for a new RAM 2500 but they are priced near the cost of some houses in the area. I searched many places via the internet and found prices much lower than the local dealerships. I went to this dealership to look at the truck in person, and found the sales staff to be wonderful. My experience with the sales team and up to the time I drove the truck home was 5 star. Imagine my surprise when I went to read the owners manuals (Regular and Diesel Supplement) and they were not in the truck. That is where everything went downhill. I thought it would be a simple call to get the manuals and I could move forward learning about and enjoying my new truck. This didnāt happen and after over 30 + hours, being treated poorly, lied to, many calls, and 5 trips later and 2 months I finally got the manuals. Ohhhh, and then to add insult to injury, I went to jump in my new truck with 47 miles on it for a long Memorial Weekend and it didnāt start. I called for service and was promised I would be on my way in 50 minutes and 5 hours later had a service person asking me where my manuals were and did I know how to jump-start my new truck that had two batteries under the hood. Needless to say my Memorial Day Weekend and trip was ruined at this point. Donāt expect any help from the owners of this dealership either. If your experience is like mine, you can expect a lot of lip service with no resolution or follow up. Hmmmmā¦.My advice for you is if you are in the market for a new truck/vehicle, save the extra money, drive the extra miles, because this dealership has no clue when it comes to good service for loyal customers once you...
