JC Discount Wine and Liquor — Local services in Town of Rotterdam

I went there a couple of weeks ago! Had a LOVELY conversation with Cassie. She was a top-notch very professional employee & very sociable. They were able to GIVE me 2 wine glasses as I had none in my apartment (I moved to Rotterdam on 8/15. She also gave me a box so I could more easily carry my wine jug. As a matter of fact, I'm going over there this afternoon as it is less than 5 mi from my apartment! Another good thing about the saleslady is that she had cool information about accommodations and was very knowledgeable about travel! Don't trust the prices posted under the vodka and whiskeys. I will never buy there again. They have charged more than the display price. Once they refunded me the difference. The second time the woman clerk told me the bottle of Finlandia vodka was labeled 22.99 but when she rang it up the price rose to 24.99. She claimed that the tax on it brought the price up. I also bought jack Daniels and Pendleton. I did not want to hold the line up but when I got home, I checked. She had charged a sales tax on a 24.9 9 bottle plus the the tax on the other two. I wonder why there are haphazerd cynder blocks darting out of the parking lot?? They look awful, the fallen over solarlights look terrible. I dropped off a letter in the post box during the winter and noticed whoever plowed knocked over the blocks as the are just piled, which if you weren't aware they are there, you could have hit them. Now there is a circle of them in front of the store?? The plastic sign just flopped over near the road. I drive to Carman liquor, it is professional looking, clean, and very reasonable and friendly service. Even if it were more expensive, it is worth it to me. ...
