This place was very cool! Nothing like id ever done before. The staff were all VERY nice. The staff who announced our rules & guides was SO sweet. She had a smiling face, cheerful attitude and a lot of knowledge about the area and the equipment. She was also very kind, asking us all how we were doing. Loved it.
It was definitely a neat experience! My boyfriend and I both wished the seats were a smidge bigger and we did wish they had some sort of handlebars just to make it feel a little less awkward on what to do with our arms/hands and to stay on the seat a little better lol.
They have bikes of 4 people and 2 people. Which was super nice since we were a group of two. It was nice to feel alone and apart of a group.
At some points we were a little close to the road, but not much that can be done about that! Plenty of rest periods and we didn't feel rushed at all. We did kind of wish there was maybe a spot to buy snacks, food, or beverages but we also didn't look around the entire location.
The man who checked us in was also very very nice and friendly. Would totally do again at night or later in October! Really a...
Read moreThis activity was a tough workout but really fun and unique.
There are quad bikes and tandem bikes to use but you have to register and pay in advance. Make sure you do it early as spots can fill up quickly.
The ride itself lasts about 2 hours and offers some really great atmospheric views of going through to forest and along a creek. I got an “enchanted forest” vibe while going through it.
The ride can be tough, hard on the legs and butt muscles but there is a good amount of time in the middle of the ride where you can rest and sit down to relax and have some food / water. Going back, the bikes have “peddle assisted” feature that while helps, you do need to constantly be peddling to use it. So while going there might have some easier parts and some really hard parts, coming back has a steady “medium” difficulty. All well worth it, just please keep difficulty in mind...
Read moreLoved it!! This was my first time on the rail explorers and they did not disappoint! We had to take an early morning reservation(8:30am) because I did not plan ahead and that was all that was left! No matter though, the staff was totally ON!! They were friendly, informative and fun! We had a great time as we pedaled our way along the rails. The nice thing was that it was leisurely enough to be enjoyable and fast enough to stay within the 2.5 hour time frame so as not to eat up too much time on one adventure! We laughed, talked, took pictures all along the way! We will definitely visit again...
