Today is my son and daughter-in-law’s 2nd wedding anniversary. As I reflect on the family stress leading up to that special day, I can’t help but think of Sandy and Your Perfect Day. When I was dress hunting, I was on leave from work caring for my husband who had just gotten out of the hospital after having a stem cell transplant. By that time, we were already into year two of his cancer journey. I needed to find a dress for my son’s special day and wanted the perfect dress, but had not had much time to shop. I went to a few other bridal shops where I was told that I needed to order a dress right away, and would need to pay a rush fee in order to get it in time for the wedding. I felt a lot of pressure from those other shops, and hadn’t found “the dress” when I stumbled upon Your Perfect Day. Everything about Your Perfect Day was, indeed, perfect and so different from my experience at other bridal shops. Sandy, who didn’t know my story and the stress I was under at home, was so kind, helpful, and accommodating. She remarked that it was difficult to make a decision by myself and suggested that I take some dresses home with me to get others’ opinions. She let me take the dresses home while only taking my name and phone number…no deposit, no money at all! I ultimately chose my dress, Sandy placed the order for me, and took care of the rush issue. The dress arrived on time and Sandy recommended a great seamstress for my alterations. I had truly found the perfect dress and I felt beautiful and comfortable in my dress on the big day, in spite of missing my husband, who wasn’t able to attend the wedding. I can’t thank Sandy enough for the gentle kindness that she extended to a stranger who was under an incredible amount of stress. I heard about Sandy from several people I encountered through social media and a coworker of my sisters who found her dress there (she lives 2 hours away from the shop). I was absolutely blown away! I had a private appointment which I didn’t realize going in and felt at ease knowing I was the only appointment at that time. Other shops have several other brides and family members at all times. Sandy was SO sweet and kind and offered assistance while letting us do our own thing and pick gowns. She was helpful and never pushy whatsoever! I found my dress there and we even found my MOH dress as well! Sandy really went above and beyond to help us match my dark sage/olive green color I had envisioned for the MOH dresses. I had expectations in my head of how I thought the day would go and honestly the reality was so much better! Sandy is incredible and does such a great job. It was such an amazing experience and my family thought the same. Mom isn’t a fan on crowds and my sister/MOH is in a boot still recovering from an Achilles injury. The store name speaks for itself!! If you are looking for a private and stress/pressure free, wedding dress shopping experience look no further. The entire shop is yours for the duration of the appointment and you have the opportunity to try on any AND as many dresses as you want. You truly feel like a little kid walking into a candy shop!! Unlike other shops, you and your guests can walk around the shop pulling any dress that catches your attention. The selection of dresses is outstanding, all of the dresses were clean and well maintained! Aside from knowing her stuff, Sandy is a pleasure to work with during/after your appointment and makes you feel very comfortable from the moment you walk in. Sandy’s goal is to order the dress as close to your size as possible so little to no alterations are needed, speaking from experience all I need done is a bustle and the straps shortened. Believe me when I say, Sandy is THE BEST!
