A few weeks ago, we ordered a new wine refrigerator from Amazon. It was delivered timely and we immediately successfully installed it with one exception, the handle was defective as it would not install properly to the door. We called Amazon support and indicated we would like a new handle (handle only) sent to replace the defective handle. We left the conversation with the understanding a new handle would be sent. Shortly thereafter, we went on a long weekend trip. Upon our return, we were shocked to see another wine refrigerator in our driveway. We have no idea why or when it was delivered. Since that time we have been getting the run around from both Amazon and UPS (apparently they delivered the second refrigerator) as neither company wants to take responsibility for the error or rectifying the situation. Meantime we have this refrigerator taking space in our garage where we would ordinarily park our car.
It has now been a couple of weeks and the refrigerator (that we neither ordered nor wanted) still sits in our garage. In the meantime, we have wasted hours of discussion with both Amazon and UPS and watched as several promises to pick-up the refrigerator have been broken. We have been subject to a hang-up by UPS, and general disregard by Amazon in trying to fix a problem we did not cause. Amazon and UPS have also tried to extort us by threatening to charge us for the refrigerator and the cost to return of this item that we never ordered.
All we want is for someone to take responsibility for their error and pick-up the refrigerator that we never ordered and that was placed on our property without...
Read moreVery chaotic place to work at. Worked there for almost 10 years and never was a problem. Not even a single write-up over the years. They took a guy straight from college that never had a job before and made him my area manager. He constantly made mistakes that they looked the other way towards. One shift we had a disruptive associate that the manager was not engaging with. Another associate accused the behavior from possibly being intoxicated. The associate wasn't but the manager did nothing. Eventually we lowered on head count and the manager gave them voluntary time off. HR looked into things and passed the blame onto me. The person who did nothing nore had the ability to do so being just the Process Assistant. So now I'm permanently fired while they keep the weak area manager so that they don't have to pay him...
Read moreFrom a logistics point of view (truck driver), this location has to be one of the WORST at organization and efficiency. For example, their excuse why a dropped trailer that is used for dedicated rotation was not unloaded in 24 hours is "it wasn't in the system"? BS! Every trailer that comes on the property gets a scan tag. Also, receiving clerk gives the false statement to drivers to "grab ANY empty". NO. Different carriers have different lease and contract terms. Add to this that they easily get overwhelmed and flustered and you can see why it's one of the worst locations in Amazon...
