We saw a few “pick-your-own” places, but then we heard Patty was one of the best spot for strawberry picking. So, we decided to try them out. They had a nice board at the entrance indicating which berries would (should) be available for picking.
We walked over to the main building structure to pay for the berry picking. They had fresh strawberries right there also, if you’d rather just buy them instead of picking them yourself. We wanted to pick them ourselves, so off we went! The price was $5.00 per person, and they will give you a small container placed in a basket. Before we head out, we were told that most of the strawberries have already been picked, so we will not find many left. They recommended us to head over to the raspberry bushes instead, since they have lots of raspberries.
We still went over to the strawberry fields first, and they were right, they didn't have much. It was really hard to find one, since they were all rather small, and hiding under thick leaves. The raspberry, however, were plenty. They had lots and lots of them, we were able to fill our container up very quickly.
Even though we were disappointed that didn’t get to do the strawberry picking in the way we thought we would, we still got some nice small strawberries, and we got so many raspberries that we didn’t even planed of getting. So, it was not a total loss. Read my full review of this spot on my food blog,...
Read moreI literally never write reviews but I feel this needs to be noted. On the website you can schedule a farm tour for $30 per person. This fee is supposed to include a tour(where they show you the best spots for picking), bigger baskets to pick multiple berries, ice cream, a take home gift as well as the opportunity to pick your own flowers. The tour was terrible, when we asked where the best spots to pick berries we were told “wherever”. We were not given the opportunity to pick flowers nor was it ever brought up. When we inquired about flower picking we were told the kids could take one already picked flower from the stand. There were no take home gifts offered either. The baskets were also not bigger than the general baskets. We had a nice time and we’re able to pick berries (mostly blueberries everything else was slim pickings) and enjoy ice cream but the price of the tour was a ripoff. If we had paid the general price it was $8 a basket, $8 for 2 scoops of ice cream and we could have purchased an entire small bouquet of flowers for $10. All of these things price individually would have come to $26 and we would have gotten more things out of it rather than the poorly orchestrated farm tour for $30. It was a waste of money and we were really looking forward to the whole experience offered on the website. We paid $150 for a poor experience. Moral of the story is DO NOT PAY FOR...
Read moreI love this place ! I come here every year. I remember when this was the go to berry smoothie spot every time I was out east and now they just specialize in delicious homemade ice cream with unique flavors such as rosemary and lemon basil being my favorites. Trust me, go for the flavors you wouldn't think would go with ice cream. They make it so creamy and sweet. There's also a cute spot they set up with chairs to sit and enjoy your ice cream and see their farm view. On top of that they have berries you can pick and have a stand with local honey, pickled items, veggies and so much more you would have to go yourselves to see. They have beautiful floral arrangements grown themselves. This year they have big and beautiful sunflowers, perfect for gifts or just to add a touch of summer...
