Southtown Plaza — Local services in Town of Southport

This plaza contains a decent variety of stores considering its location & as such often helps fulfill various shopping needs.

In particular Family Wok is highly recommended. Combining good quality flavorful food with very reasonable prices & large portions this Chinese restaurant is a good choice. The lunch specials are of exceptional value. Other food options in the plaza include McDonald's & Subway. Both of which are typical of the chains they represent.

In terms of shopping options; Family Dollar offers a lower cost shopping option for various household items. Tops offers your typical grocery store & the Thrift store offers a variety of interesting items. Always something interesting there.

We visited the "Thrift Store" in the plaza. Which it is not. Honestly it reminds me of a pawn shop. The store contains lots of new and used (Mostly) items for purchase including tools, power tools,lawn equipment, laptops, flatscreen TV's, vintage toys, CDs, furniture, jewelery,stereo equipment..etc. Store does not contain ANY clothing. Which was the reason we wondered if there. I LOVE places like this! Don't bring your children. You won't be able to browse because they will also find many interesting things to touch and show you destracting...

Dirty, broken storefront signs and some questionable businesses and patrons. This is a place where I feel the need to roll up my windows and lock my doors. The only good reasons to go there are Tops and Family Wok. Every single time I’ve been there, there has been a Family Dollar employee (or two) standing by the door smoking. Usually with it dangling from her mouth while rearranging clothing racks. And that butt gets thrown right on the walk out front. Disgusting. I would rather drive to another FD location than go...
