TL;DR, some of the staff is rude and ignored me, never got a call saying my bike was ready, did a decent job servicing the bike once I did get it back. Based on another reviewer, maybe it's just women they're not great with.
Took my bike in for a tune up. It took forever for someone to acknowledge me. The kid at the counter never said a word the 10 minutes I was in there and no one else was in the shop, the older gentleman I talked to said something to me as soon as he came out from the back of the shop. Pretty sure he was the owner. He came off a little short tempered, but it was really near closing time when I came in so I can understand to some extent. He did seem generally knowledgeable and not entirely disagreeable. He told me he had a pretty big line of bikes in front of mine so it would be about a week, and I'd get a call when it was ready. Ok, cool. A week goes by. Maybe he had some parts issues, it had odd sized tires I wanted replaced. Two weeks, three. I give them a call after a month, the same kid who ignored me answered the phone. First he couldn't find the paperwork for my bike, then got annoyed at me that I hadn't picked my bike up yet. When I went to pick up the bike, the same kid again ignored me for 5, 10 minutes while I was the only customer in there, and standing at the counter. When he did finally decide to cash me out, he took forever because he was listening to the other employee talk to the only other customer in the store. While whoever worked on it did a good job servicing the bike, I won't be going back. It's unfortunate because they're a lot closer than my...
Read moreTook my bike to get a tune-up and have a few things repaired. The guy that took it in didn't write down most of the repairs needed. When I picked up the bike a week later, not only were none of the problems addressed, but one of the tires was even still flat. The employee (a different one) that brought the bike out for me said it was probably nothing, even though my tire repeatedly going flat was my biggest problem I brought it in for.
When I got home I realized that not only were my repairs not fixed, but I had been given the wrong tires, the front wheel had gone flat again, and the front brake was broken. It came back worse than I sent it in!
I went back to the store to settle the problems - a third employee helped me (I will admit I was irate upon entering). He gave me a refund on the repairs and fixed everything that needed fixing over the next 30-40 minutes. This employee was very helpful, but he is no longer there, and if the success is only 1 out of 3, I'd be very hesitant to return. Because of the refund and the eventual repairs, I don't want to rate the business too harshly, but it should've been evident to all employees that my bike shouldn't have left the shop in the state it was in. It also makes me wonder what work was done on it in the week it was there. I guess if you get the manager, your bike will probably be fixed fine, but it seems the other employees need a lot...
Read moreI dropped off two bikes. When I picked them up, they looked clean and seem to work fine. However, I soon discovered my bike was missing a part. I had an adapter for a child's cart on the rear axel that was taken off, and apparently thrown out during my $85 tune up.? When I called, the young person answering the phone said he'd look for it, and return my call. I did not hear back. When I called again, he still said he was going to look for it, and they'd try to replace it. This part of the service was terrible. When I dropped our bikes off, I expected them to be handled with care and accuracy. I didn't think for a minute I would get charged that amount of money and have a bike returned missing parts. I ordered the replacement axel adapter, which cost me $20. I'm sad to say I will never do business here again and I will encourage as many people as I can to stay away. They must be too busy to take care of all of...
