Country Grocery — Local services in Town of Warwick

I visited recently from Long Island, my friends and I got an air BNB about 5 minutes away for the Renaissance Fair. I don't know about other people but me personally, I tend to anxiety purchase food when far from home. Anyway, Country Grocery got rid of all my fears. Their prices were reasonable, they had a great selection compared to other local markets, and the cherry on top: the owner. He's such a wonderful soul. He answered all my questions, dealt with me taking 2+ trips and was so kind and generous I just HAD to leave a 5 star review the second I got to my car. I've worked in retail for 10+ years and this has been one of the best shopping experiences of my life. It's the little things that stick out and I'm jealous that I don't love closer. Local residents: cherish Country Grocery, you have something beautiful ❤️. I didn't get the owners name but if he reads this, just know you made my trip....

For a smaller grocery store, they somehow have everything you need!

The owner and his family are great people and an asset to our local community! Also, this store specifically was featured in "The Magic of Belle Isle," which was a really good Rob Reiner/Morgan Freeman movie! Go Greenwood Lake, NY!!!

Nasim recently shared some of his traditional Indian cooking for me to try, and I plan to go tell him to open a MUCH needed Indian Restaurant in this town! Who knew he's such a great cook? And Indian food is NOT easy to get right! He is not afraid of some heat 🔥 either! Hahaha!

Love this place!

I needed some chicken breasts and skirt steak. I was an hour from home and after a long day, the last thing I wanted to do was immerse myself in a large supermarket experience.

The problem here was I knew the Country Grocer was set to close 30 minutes before I could get back into GWL. I called the store stating what my eta would be and if it was still possible for me to pick up food.

His positive response was so warm and gracious! By the time I arrived, all my items were bagged and I was ready to be rung up. It was truly the greatest food shopping experience ever. So grateful to have such a great food establishment in town.
