People go to restaurants to feel cared for — to enjoy a relaxing hour and a good meal, especially when spending $60 for breakfast for two. Unfortunately, the owner of this otherwise charming little diner doesn’t seem to understand that.
Even though she had two young helpers, she seemed completely overwhelmed and disconnected. She didn’t greet a single customer with eye contact or a smile, and the atmosphere felt cold and unwelcoming. It was honestly sad to see, especially in such a cute place with potential.
The food itself was decent, and it was understandably busy for a Sunday morning, but hospitality was nowhere to be found. After over 40 years in customer service, I would never dream of treating my clients the way we were treated today.
What’s worse — I had been here a few years ago and remember leaving with the exact same feeling. Some things clearly haven’t changed.

Read moreI really don’t like writing bad reviews, but I feel it’s absolutely necessary in this case, hoping it will help the owners and staff improve. Unfortunately, I had an extremely negative experience at this restaurant. The man who welcomed us at the front didn’t make us feel welcome at all—quite the opposite. As we entered, he was sitting down with his head down, never looking up to greet us. In a gruff voice, without any warmth or acknowledgment, he simply said, ‘You can take a menu and grab whatever seat you want,’ without even checking if there were any seats available.
His lack of care and interest was astounding, and we felt completely unwelcome. Hopefully, this was not the owner, but to help identify him, he had short dark wavy hair. I truly hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests, as such dismissive behavior is unacceptable in any...
