When I was in need of a new washer, I wanted to support a small & local business. The only problem was my salesperson Eric.
I explained during the sale process that my street is very steep and will therefore require a small truck or van to get up street. This was agreed upon and we moved forward with the sale and a delivery for the next day. Sounds great so far, right?
Of course, the delivery instructions were ignored and the poor driver got stuck on the hill and was unable to make the delivery. Poor guy probably lost an hour or two of his day with future deliveries delayed impacting other customers experiences - not to mention his own. If that was Eric’s only error, this experience could have been salvaged but Eric was determined to make it worse.
I called back the next day to get an update on a new delivery time. From there, Eric never returned my call. Not being home, I assumed he delivered it and case was closed. It was not until three weeks later I discovered house still had old washer. He never delivered it and never attempted to do so.
When I called to find out what was happening and what the plan was, Eric told me he was “thinking about it”. Really? For three weeks? Said he couldn’t find a truck to get up the hill despite assuring me at the onset delivery would not be a problem. Said they had delivered to my street before without issue. Guess that means he didn’t have to come up with a plan to get me my washer. You take my money and provide no goods? That’s theft.
I told Eric I wanted the transaction cancelled. I also asked him to have his manager call me because I still wanted to support WVA but I wanted someone who could complete the transaction to get credit for it. I also wanted WVA to have the opportunity to correct the wrong and get paid for the product. Never received said phone call.
Slamming a small business doesn’t feel good - especially when I set out with a different intention. But spending $800 on goods never received and with no plan to remedy the situation feels worse. A simple phone call with an update would have...
Read moreI HIGHLY recommend Warwick Valley Appliances. I ordered a Speed Queen washer/dryer set from them before Christmas. Because of Covid, the factory is behind in delivering their appliances. Warwick Valley had the dryer I ordered in stock and delivered it today. They knew that the washer would take a few weeks to come in, so they gave me a floor model washer to use until my washer comes in. I am so happy with their service. Even though the delay had nothing to do with Warwick Valley Appliance, they went above and beyond to make me happy. No other store, especially the big box stores would have done this. I also want to say that their delivery guys are wonderful too. They came when they said they would. They wore masks and were very clean. So, if you are in need of an appliance, choose Warwick Valley Appliance!! They also do renovations on kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms. With the service I received, I would not hesitate to use them for any renovation I need! Thank you Scott, Matt, Amanda...
Read moreOver the last 3 years I purchased 2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers, stove with microwave hood. I have spent thousands of dollars at this store to have my home refrigerator that is 14 months old brake and my home kitchen aid dishwasher brake that is about 2 years old that I have used less then one box of soap pods. (Only used for family holidays and gatherings) No warranty and No service department. The people are no help and very uncaring. They got the sale and are done with you. I will never buy from this store again. I tried keeping my business local and to the smaller businesses after the effects of covid. I recommend going somewhere else...
