Do not use their service techs for wood stove repairs. They did not use the right size gasket for my stove. The owner said it was a Vermont Castings; it was not. The doors would not close properly. I had to special order the gasket and have another service tech do the installation. The owner refused to realize that different stoves require different gasket size. When the problem was obvious; all I got from "Gary" at the time was a rude in your face response. I told the owner I did not want them to come back. And a month later I was billed an excessive amount even with no resolution of the problem. A neighbor said a month later that he had a similar problem with them. They overcharged him and he war furious. He said he was not at home and it was his wife who like me; never got a bill for the job at the time. The way they operate is really questionable. I am a home owner in Ontario NY - I recently called WHI and was taken care of by Jim [owner] to arrange a House of Fire Gas Fireplace originally purchased from WHI by the previous home owner. The request was for a home visit by a WHI Fireplace Specialist to clean and get the unit on. Yesterday, Gary arrived at our home at exactly the time scheduled. I am writing this to say the visit was a TEN (10+) - not only was Gary super competent - he informed me that the two sided unit had never been serviced - the glass so black it was impossible to see anything, Gary was meticulously diligent in taking the unit apart and reassembling - he left the unit working and looking like brand new - cleaning up all the residue of the repair.
