I had an amazing time with my disabled veteran husband at this facility for a Wounded Warrior Project event. They taught both of us how to use recumbent bicycles. It allowed him to be able to still ride a bike despite his numerous injuries and allowed me to ride one despite not knowing how to ride a 2 wheeler. We also learned how to kayak. Read moreI've been here twice now for disabled veterans event. I love the staff here. They treat you like a person first and then bring you in closer like your family. If I was able to make it to every event I would be there in less than a heart beat. They keep you right on the other side of your comfort zone but at your own free will. They have an encouraging way of supporting to push your own limits without allowing you to endanger yourself trying to be superman. They have a mix of full time staff and volunteers that all do their jobs from their hearts.
The foundation works with civilians and veterans alike. I recommend any person with ANY disability that wants to get out and be a part of the outdoor sports world...

Many of the race team members and people in ASF programs grow in unimaginable ways due to their interactions with others and their sport. There's no...
