I just went to the Windham Mountain snow tube park for the 1st time and wasn’t sure what to expect reading the reviews. I went on a Sunday afternoon and was happily surprised that it wasn’t very busy at all. They were well staffed, all of the staff were friendly & we were able to go down on the tubes many many times. We even took a break to go in the lodge for a drink & to warm up by the fire and then we still had a ton of time for more tubing. It’s not the longest or the best tube runs I’ve ever seen, but they’re still fun for every age.
Inside the lodge was decent. Adirondack chairs by a nice fire place and plenty of tables & chairs. They also had a small selection of hot food, drinks (including beer & hard seltzers) and other snacks. You could also sit out on the deck near 2 outdoor fireplaces which was nice. However, the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting and that’s why I didn’t rate this place better. Out of 3 stalls in the women’s room only 1 worked. There was constantly a line and even the 1 working stall wasn’t clean. There was garbage all over the floors, toilets were full of floating stuff, and the garbage was overflowing. It’s not exactly great when you’re trying to change in & out of snow clothes in a gross bathroom. They weren’t crazy busy either where a staff member didn’t have time to go in and clean it up. I would go back because it’s the closest place to my daughters school, but if not for that I wouldn’t go out of my way to go...
Read moreA really awesome place to bring your family and teenagers(especially below the age of 14) will love it. Really is a nice place with a decent view but it's a little too simple for older kids to enjoy fully.
The price of the food in the concession building is crazy though and they DO NOT take credit cards so be sure you bring cash!
The passes are (usually) for a 2-hour period of time so keep that in mind also.
Bathrooms were clean and overall I would recommend this location to my friends with children between the ages of 5-14. That age range I think will fully enjoy it without getting bored but I am 29 so take my opinion as you will.
Also, you don't have to walk back up the hill, it has a unique "carpet" escalator system that you essentially just stand on and it brings you and your tub back up in just a couple of minutes. That feature is very nice and makes it much more worth the...
Read moreAdventure park is aimed at kids and young adults, but there were quite a few adults enjoying tubing. The main activity here is tubing down a two-hundred yard long hill. There are multiple lanes so waiting time was at most 15 minutes between rides. There's a moving conveyor belt walkway that takes tubers back up the hill when it's working. Otherwise, it's a ten minute walk up the steep and lifeless rubberized walkway. It had three 15 minute breakdowns on the day we were there. My seven year old grandson enjoyed the included tubing and kids snowmobile ride that was an extra charge. The kid-sized snow mobiles and track were perfect for him. There is a lodge for getting warm and grabbing a quick bite. It was a bit crowded inside at the peak time of the afternoon. Adventure park is a fun way to spend a day. Tickets are available for two or four hour sessions and the prices...
