Gibson County Clerk — Local services in Trenton

I called over a month ago to ask about a marriage license and officiating. Last time, they told me the license could be officiated there, and that the couple would leave legally married. Currently don't have time or money for a real wedding. We are waiting a while for that.

Whoever answered the phone this time was very rude and condescending. Told me that they could only give the couple a license, and it's only valid for a month. They couldn't legally marry the couple. Okay, whatever. I understand. The point that upset me, was when she told me there needs to be a REAL wedding in order to get married, and that the couple would never be seen as married without a ceremony being held. Then, she said to go find someone who got their license to marry online, since we are so worried about money. This lady had me in tears, and I just had to hang up. Absolutely insane. Wish I had...

We haven’t received our tag which was mailed out. Getting really frustrated as our temp tag expired three weeks ago. Tag office said it was mailed out three weeks ago but they are only 45mins away...

Just spoke with Nancy. I need to have an out of state title changed to TN and the process is outside of their normal procedures but she helped me through it without complaint....
