in Ohio, a company cannot legally keep your credit card information on file without your explicit permission; Ohio law requires businesses to obtain consent before storing customer credit card details, meaning they must actively ask for your approval to retain your card information. I called in before December 13th to add an appointment for my girlfriend to have her hair and makeup done professionally. I was told that I had to have a credit card on file to save her spot and as well if she didnāt show up they would charge me half I didnāt mind that. Well we went to the appointment and my girlfriend paid for it. My girlfriend few days later decides to get her eyelashes done and schedules an appointment late December by them but she does not cancel in time so they told her they are going to charge her half. The next day I get a 60 dollar charge on my credit card. I call in and ask why was I charged 60 dollars. They told me because your girlfriend didnāt show up. Now to let you know this has nothing to do with me my girlfriend set up a whole new appointment. When the new appointment was scheduled they should have asked her for her credit card information. And 2nd why is my credit card still on your file I asked they told me once your credit card is on file they can not remove it unless another credit card is on file which does not give me or the people that attend this salon or new people a piece of mind. They basically told me I have to get her to come in and add her credit card. Then they told me that they told her that the card on file would be charged which that is a lie I was next to her when they had called her about them going to charge her I thought that they already had her info not still my credit card on file weeks later. They failed to confirm credit card information when scheduling a new appointment. Every place Iāve been to once you make your appointment your card is removed or deleted. I am now in the process of a dispute which I know I will get the 60 back since the company failed on there end. Really think about this if you doing something nice for your girlfriend, ex, a friend or a stranger do you really want to hear they went back and had your card charged again without your permission. Do not invest in this company. They said your fault you have to go find her and go bring her in to put her card on file. Iām not worried because I didnāt authorize the company to steal my money off my card. My card has my name on it not hers we are not married all this will be fixed but the fact they donāt accept fault and refund me the 60 that has absolutely nothing to do with me. This is the worst business professionals I have dealt with. It was never clarified that the existing card on file would be used to her. When I booked I was told about the half charge if she did show up when she placed her appointment in it was not told to her. As well as just cause another appointment was put in less then 24 hours doesnāt mean go back and charge her boyfriends card. You should of clarified with her which credit card was going to be used you did not. As well as I was with her when they told her over the phone they was going to charge her half she was shocked because no one there notified her about this only I knew of that. I didnāt no or realized your this company would keep my card on file my agreement with the company was for December the 13 and the 13th only unless someone specifically talked to me it doesnāt matter my card my name is on it. She is not going to want to pay 60 dollars for nothing so your guys response is oh well we have her boyfriends card on file we will charge him. Your company should have gotten her new card info or at least if she would be using the same card she has money she is not broke. I am not a cop itās not my responsibility to bring her in. I am not worried because I did not give your company the authorization to charge my card. I was told that my card and other consumers cards will stay on file until you call in or ask to have it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate: One of the owners went out of their way to have a conversation with me and explain the situation further. He also let me know that their receptionist will be reimbursed. All is well now that I understand better and appreciate this communication. Had a massage done, which was great. The issue was in the fact that I tried to use a gift card purchased a few years ago that was no longer valid. Worried this may happen, I had checked the website and facebook page ahead of time, with nothing about this on either. It was as I was standing there they said āWrite that down, we need to post that somewhereā It was explained, after the fact that this was because when the new owners took over they decided no gift cards purchased before January of 2020 were going to be accepted, a month after mine was purchased. They were able to see the purchase date on the computer, they could have let it slide because there was only a month difference or offered me a discount or free something next time, but all I got (from who I assume was a manager) was āItās out of my hands, I canāt call the owners to ask since theyāre out of town.ā The very sweet receptionist (Caris? Karis?) was insistent on paying for half out of her own pocket! I am very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen going here for many years. Started off with Terri, but now I go to Destiny. She's so talented, & very fun to talk with as well. She does great work. I always get compliments on my hair! I've been to several other stylists when I can't get in to see Destiny & they are great too. Had deep-tissue massages here in the past & found it helpful for back issues. Enjoyed several great pedicures too. All the front desk staff are very sweet & personable. Great selection of terrific Aveda products at good prices (for Aveda). Price of services is less than other Aveda salons I've gone to in the past. ...
