If you are a retiree you are often not allowed access. Very Frustrating. I travel a lot and have visited the gyms at many bases and DM is the only place that is not retiree friendly (and not just the gyms). One base had me pay a small fee for a special access card, but that was easy and no big deal. But DM is another story. A lifetime of service, 2 combat tours, many other deployments, plus I spend money like crazy at the PX (which supports the gyms) and I can't use the gym??? When I complained to one person, they just said, "Welcome to the Air Force." Otherwise, a great gym has all you need. Weird layout, but you get use to it.
