I used to love coming to this place and ordering the burritos, birria ramon, and the taquizas. I went about a month ago and ordered 2 burritos with rice and beans in it. They were very small and thin, and that was weird because I've ordered these before. I'm not going to pay over $10 for cheap made burritos, I want my money's worth! So I decided to open up the burritos and I couldn't see any beans in it. All I saw was a little bit of rice and meat. So I went inside to let them know, and if they can please add the beans. There was this lady jn the kitchen and she snapped at me. She was very rude! I can hear them talkimg about me in Spanish, so unprofessional. They remade it, and I still wasn't satisfied. They literally only put about a tablespoon of watery beans in it. I don't know if they're getting cheap, or if it depends on who makes the food in the kitchen that day? So I said I was never going to order from the kitchen again, but I did today. So I ordered two taquizas and a birria ramon. I come home and the birria ramon was extremely dry with no juice and no birria in it! I just live down the street so I know it couldn't have dried up that fast! The taquiza plates had literally a tablespoon of Pico de gallon and very very little cabbage, and the cabbage was old, brown and stale! I wish I could have been able to take a picture and post it on here!Oh I forgot to mention that the salsa bar had some old salsa. I was putting some Pico de gallo in the small containers that they have there, and it looked so gross! It had some thick and slimy liquid under the salsa! I WILL NEVER WASTE MY MONEY AND ORDER FOOD FROM THE KITCHEN AGAIN, OR GET THE OLD SALSA FROM THE SALSA BAR! I am VERY DISSATISFIED. They also need to keep the produce fresh! They always have old soggy produce. Like I said, I want my money's worth. I not going to pay for old...
Read moreWe first visited villas when they only had two cashiers and the store was a bit smaller. There was a welcoming vibe and it was almost nostalgic stepping foot with all of the amazing food varieties greeting you.
On our 3rd visit, we spent a bit over $100 and the cashier gifted us a 2liter soda!
A few months down the line, we tried their new prepared food. The food was bomb but the woman taking our order was soooo mean. As someone who came from the food industry, service like hers leaves a horrible taste in my mouth.
In December of 2023, I purchased a small bag of rice. As soon as I got home, I was going to use it when I noticed MAGGOTS. I asked my brother to return it since I was in the middle of cooking, but unfortunately, he had a terrible experience. He waited in line even though he was planning on gathering a few more items. He explained what we found and showed her the maggots. The cashier was abrupt and short with him. Huffing out “what do you want me to do about it”. ??? Sorry your store sold rice with maggots, but a damn refund would be my minimum expectation lol. She called a manager over but why did you make the customer feel like they were...
Read moreThis grocery store originated in Nogales, Arizona. It quickly became my favorite due to the great toilet paper shortage of 2020. Even though they were metering people at the door they allowed you to grab 4 rolls and a package of paper.
I think they have the best assortment of marinated meats at a reasonable price. They also have a lot of items you would expect to purchase in Mexico. Even though this is a small location it has almost everything you could want good want in a grocery store. Food, snacks, household items, and Mexican candles if you are going to setup a shrine.
Be warned, if you are caught stealing and try to run your photo will be posted on the wall of shame by the front door. Honestly this is was probably my favorite part - seeing all the new...
