I have been a long time customer of this store and what I saw tonight and have been seeing for a few months has changed my opinion. First of all this store has 2 things going for it, its in a great location and its open later than most or even all other thrift stores. For the past 2 months I have been seeing the same stuff over and over with very few if not NO new merchandise, when I was in tonight my daughter needed to use the restroom so with permission I took her to the back where it was located When I saw piles of televisions and piles of dvd and vcr's tools and other items just sitting in the back, the very items I shop for and was unable to purchase because it was not priced or put out. large bins were located all around the store and full of toys, books, clothing etc... and people were looking through it only to be told its not priced so no sale. This is very poor management, I don't know the story on all these items in the back, but I DO know that you are not a pawn shop, there is NO reason to hold that many items, and its been this way for a while I can understand being short handed or noone is there to price it etc... but you CAN'T SELL WHAT YOU DON'T PUT OUT!! If security is a concern then move the electronics to the back of the store put up more security cameras and maybe invest in larger glass cases behind the registers I am not the only one who feels this way I see a lot of money that can be made here and with a little work it will happen although I am very dissapointed in the shape its in I would like to see it change maybe this will open the eyes of management and provide the motivation they need to make the changes that will...
Read moreDecent place to shop but bad to donate to. Just took a whole car load of things to donate and the guy at the donate window was rude. Grunting, mumbling under his breathe, rolling his eyes. He kept handing me stuff back saying the lamp did not work (brought it home, plugged it in, worked fine), said an old painting was ripped (it is over 100 years old. It was fraying around the staple edges where the frame used to be. The painting itself was solid), a vintage Oscar De LA Renta luggage set was "too old", and a vintage x-ray viewer was "too weird. No one would want it." Other things like my record player he just chucked in the trash because it was missing the $5 cord. I stood there in the pouring rain while be threw valuable things away because he didn't understand it. I was able to grab a few things back, but a lot went into the trash. I understand not everything can be sold, but I did not bring old plates or empty bottles. They are trying to raise money for a cause. Take 5 minutes to list expensive rare items online. Other non-profits do. I will be taking my more valuable...
Read moreVery bad experience this time around. My fiance spent alot of time in there today. She was making a Harley Quinn costume, I was kind of shocked. She spent time looked at EVERYTHING, and amazingly put together an out fit that looked identical to a pic of Quinn we have. We make it to the register and apparently our kid had ripped off the price tag. We still had it, just wasn't attached so the lady would not sell us the jacket !!!! Alisen was in tears, she spent alot of time in there and found a letterman style jacket that looked JUST LIKE QUINNS,!!!! You could tell that this made the lady happy, her smirks and refusal to sell the jacket was enough for me to take my business elsewhere. Between here and the rehomebppscevl, we easily spend 500 a week. I even told her she could mark it up More and I'd gladly purchase it. With her * neener, neener; attitude and lack of customer Appreciation,...
