my significant other and I both went this past Sunday for a couples deep tissue massage. This was our second visit. The first visit was a couple months back. At a rate for $120 For the first visit that was supposed to include the hot rocks, it was a good experience however we didn't get the hot rocks; fine whatever maybe next time... then when we went to leave when we paid, we were asked where the tip was Or if we were going to leave one. Which i thought was a bit unappealing... Fast-forward to yesterday our second visit I made an appointment. She quoted me on the phone $140 and again she said that it would include the hot rocks. It was a great experience probably the best tissue massage I have had in a while. They both literally worked out every night in mine and my significant others back. This time we did get the hot rocks and I noticed that my significant other had a little more time with the hot rocks than I did. I would say I probably only got the hot rocks for about a minute. No big deal it was very satisfying. He spent a lot of time on my back which was definitely needed. It's like they knew every single spot that needed to be worked on. As our service ended, we went to pay as we were putting our shoes on to leave. The lady is counting the money and she tells me that it's only $140 and proceeds to ask about the tip , not entirely sure how she worded it. I see that a lot of the other reviews for this business people have mentioned the same thing about tipping. And I'm assuming that everybody else that didn't mention something about tipping were probably the ones that did tip and that's OK that's fine but not everybody has the same income. I had the money for them to perform the service but it is not a requirement to be tipped. But this will not stop me from going back. I will continue to...
Read moreThey have have changed the name, not sure if it's the same owner, but wife and I, frequented the Asian Massage... I read reviews, and it seems they are still doing massages, despite the "facial" name change. Anyway, after more than a dozen visits, yes, the neverending bullying about tips, leaving to answer the phone, without extending the massage time, or just shorting the hour with 50 or 55 minutes... The prices are insane. I've gotten over 500 massages, due to a back injury. Across the country three times. This is MS, not WA, or CA... The "relaxation" gentle rub was/is typically $50 hour, $30 half. Deep tissue adds $10.... Some places, it's $60/$40, deep tissue is $10 more... Here, the want $80hr/$60 1/2. They wonder why no one tips? You're already paying the 15-20% top when you pay for the massage, then, they want more... We used to tip CoCo $20-$30, 1 hr, to 90 mins.... Often getting the 90 minutes massage, but they would not give the card stamp for the 90 min, only for 1 hr... So, you drop $100-$150 dollars, don't get credit for the 30 minutes, and your lucky if they massage you the whole time... I personally hated the rocks. I need massage, not walking around for 10 minutes, of my 55 minutes, heating, and returning rocks.... We stopped going, because CoCo left, and did not return because of of all this other stuff.... Yes, you need to reevaluate your business practices, FEES FOR SURE... You may be able to keep your talented massage therapists If you'll not be so greedy... Leave some money for the client to tip... otherwise, you'll be...
