Pro cam had an event today, there was a guy who was buying used gears. I wanted to buy 2 bodies trading in one of my Sony Mirrorless which I bought a year ago in Pro Cam. I asked for a quote and the guy I was talking to gave me the price by giving good price. Sony rep told me that there is a trade in credit for trading in old gears. Then the other guy came and applied trade in discount. The manager in charge today saw my quote and he said everything is perfect. Then I went to the guy who was buying the used gears. Pricing worked out and I sold my gear to him. After all these, the manager took the quote and started telling that he cannot serve the quote as they have not given the correct price. Based on what they quoted I started planning my things and the same manager saw this had it approved too. When I started recording this situation on my phone saying I am getting cheated, the manager said he can’t give it to that price previously quoted but increased about $400 on the quote. THESE GUYS ARE SCAM. They will let you sell the gear and they make you to buy for the price they want later. BEWARE OF THIS STORE. Later, the manager asked “where you from?” “What’s your religion?” . I asked - “does that even matter?” I felt so insecure to be at this store today. I had been here earlier and have bought few gears. But I am not gonna go back again. The manager from Detroit, don’t know if he is a racist but this was to much of HARASSMENT
Reply to your comment: This proves how UNETHICAL you guys are. Did I purchase a high value lens this week? lol Make sure you don’t cheat me this time and get it delivered. Such a shameless review reply.
I had called and CANCELED for refund of extended warranty for both the cameras. I was again mislead to by it, coz Sony is already giving 2 years warranty for free of cost. Secondly, not sure where you were running when he asked for “where are you from” and “what my religion is”, all my statements are very true and I stand with it. After reading your review reply, I get how unprofessional you...
Read moreI went inside to buy a new video camera for my kid's school play. The young salesperson was high school age. He tried to sell me a $3500 camera, which they didn't have in stock. When I told him I wasn't spending that much, he switched to a $1200 camera. I told him that was still too much. He finally got down to a $520 DGI Osmo Pocket 3 camera. He told me everything I could wish to know about that camera except the return policy. They do NOT take returns on any DGI products. That would seem to be important information for most people, but not a young salesperson trying for commission on a $520 video camera. I took it home, charged it up. I tested it around the house. It worked fine. Took it to the play and tested it more, it worked fine. The show started, I turned on the camera and I had a huge message about "needing to activate" the camera. Apparently there is an app for the camera that it didn't need until the show started. I took the camera home, tried installing the app. The app was a 3rd party app, not in the playstore. I still downloaded it. I did everything the instructions said. It didn't work at all. NOTE: these instructions about the app were not in the box, I had to find them on the internet. I could never get that error message to go away at all. I took the camera back to Pro-Cam the very next day, they then informed me of their return policy. DGI cameras are not refundable. I asked why this was never mentioned to me when I bought the camera. The manager of the store had a great solution for me though. He said I could sell it on Ebay and get most of my money back. Isn't that great. Yes, that came from the manager. I will NEVER shop there again. I would recommend everyone to just buy new camera equipment from BestBuy, Target, or some other big box store. ...
Read moreGET YOUR CAMERAS AND GEAR HERE! I cannot say enough good things about my experience with this store and its staff. I went in just doing some research, and had some questions. I knew what I wanted but wasn’t 100% confident with myself and all the facts to make a large purchase. Jonah was incredible, he is the reason to shop local, smaller stores, and avoid giving money to those faceless corporate overlords that only care about your money. Jonah didn’t care if he sold me a camera and lenses he just made sure my questions were answered, my concerns addressed, and that I was comfortable with my investment decision. I went in and about 45min later I walked out with my camera body and a lens ready to get at it. Jonah and the team at PROCAM are the reason I bit the bullet and bought my setup because I got the sense that he cared, and that store will always be there for their customers, even after I paid there was no rushing me out the door after they got my money. Questions answered, fears gone, and a new customer for life. Thank you all for being there and offering the best customer service out there!...
