Royal Farms — Local services in Upper Gwynedd Township

I work nearby, so when they opened I enrolled in the Rewards program and started going there, for a change of pace. I typically don't do negative reviews, I write it off to a bad day, etc. But after a year plus, I can tell it's the norm. Staff are typically fine, but not outgoing or professional. Chicken is usually dry and not good. The hot case doesn't seem to get rotated out during the day. Store is generally dirty.

But the thing that kicked it over the edge was the back door. There's parking on all 4 sides of the restaurant, and it opened with 2 entrances. Now they've "closed" the rear one, making 1/2 the parking useless. They use it to stage products...and store trash..even though it is designated an Emergency Exit with clear signage. This is not isolated, seems to be a regular pattern. I guess trash/storage is more important over customers experience?? A man who has served me and my partner alcohol multiple times, keep in mind I am well over 21, told us he needs both of our ids and we’re lucky this time. Sounds like he was just mad he had to make us food at 12:30am, sorry buddy that 12:30 is when some people get off their shifts!!!! We are regulars to this place, again this man has served us before, but the disrespect was unbearable. Got a 2 piece white meat meal with wedges. I'm my quest to find a royal farms with decent food in my area since I recently moved from Maryland. I drove a little further to this place and not was I disappointed. Had to spit the wing out my mouth and into my hand it was just foul. The wedges were very dark and you could tell someone is not keeping up with the oil cleanliness which is made super easy with those expensive pressure fryers Royal Farms has. It's really a shame cause if the attention to these details is kept the product is almost always delicious but it requires someone who cares and you don't see that often out here...
