Ok so I bought a westinghouse generator from Amazon and it was dead on arrival. Called the company and they referred me to Madles for warranty repair. They fixed it an stated that the fuel was bad and they had to drain it an clean the carburetor. I had already tested the fuel prior to bring the generator to them. How you ask by pouring it into the cylinder to see if it would fire after numerous attempts to start it, Also. I filled my truck with the same gas in which I drove down to their store. I explained to the mechanic that I already tested it for spark which it had. I opened the float bowl to ensure the fuel was making to the carburetor from the tank which it was. I also explained that the fuel was not making it into the engine because after pulling the spark plug after numerous attempt to start it the spark plug was dry. I also explain that I just purchased the gas the night before I received the brand new generator and I believe the floats were stuck because no fuel was making it into the generator. My fuel can has a filter on it to ensure no containment get into the fuel can or equipment. Plus the generator has a filter on the opening for fuel as well as a fuel filter all which are brand new cuz the generator is 1 day old. So the drained the fuel which they said was bad all 6 gallons, and cleaned the carburetor all for $153 and was not covered under warranty. They should have called an explained that it was bad fuel (which is was not) and the carburetor needed to be cleaned an was not covered under warranty in which I would have returned the machine back to Amazon. I am not stupid and was ripped off 153 dollars by this place. I would not recommend them if they were last mechanics on earth.
So the owner contacted as you see on here below. Sent the owner an email per their request as see in their response to my review. Sent my response the same day and still have not heard a peep from them. Just shows you how their customers are treated with little an or no respect. Why tell a customer to contact you and do not return the contact...It is a hardware store never have this place...
Read moreThis past Saturday I had a problem with my Toro mower as I just began to start the yard. My wife and I had a party planned for that afternoon and we wanted the lawn to look good but my mower stalled out and would not restart. I tried to see why it was leaking oil as its not old and even took off the muffler to see where the leak was coming from. That was a bad Idea...I had an issue getting it back together since it had a choke gear that I did not know anything about. Since I service and buy all my lawn gear at Madle's in Center Valley. I loaded my truck up with the mower and took it to them. I was hoping to get it fixed and maybe ask for a loaner to get the job done in time for the party.
My experience was better than anticipated. I was greeted by Scott in the repair center and he not only helped me to understand what had happened but within 10 minutes fixed my mower with a new air filter and had me on my way back home. You see when I cleaned the owner last time I used it I accidently turned it over and it leaked oil into the filter causing the problem. I can't believe how awesome Scott handled me as the customer and how I feel about Madle's at this point. Great people and great service! You probably won't see that at your big box retailer any time soon. In fact, we laughed that they may have tried to sell me a new mower instead fix my good as new mower I have now.
Scott is not only a company guy he is extremely well trained and worked at Briggs and Stratton in their small engine department. I do believe in luck but at Madle's its also about experience and how they treat their customers...Thank you very much Scott! Thank you Madle's!!

Read moreI’ve had a mower there, in the shop for close to if not 4 weeks. They NEVER call to give me an update. I always have to call. First time I called, it was “we’re waiting on a motor”. Second time I call, it’s “almost done”. Next time I call, “oh we might have broke something, we’re trying to fix it”, last time I called “we’re waiting on parts, don’t call us, we’ll call you when it’s done”. There is just a total lack of customer service when it comes to their mechanics. I can understand waiting on parts, i can understand a mistake happening, what I can’t pardon, is not calling me to let me know. Not telling me we’re sorry, not being empathetic in any way. Not even offering a loaner mower or anything.
I spent $750 on an EGO mower from them. Could have just as easily ordered it online. But you know, let’s support small businesses.
That said, the ladies at the front, THEY are excellent, always friendly. That’s the only reason I’m even giving them two stars.
Finally, never buying an EGO mower or other product again. The string trimmer was good, but the mower is the most over...
