American Legion — Local services in Venice

Visiting the area LEGION VFW AND MOOSE MEMBER ..walked in today 11.22.22 around 1230pm lunch time We walked in and for 5 mins bartender was chatting with waitress we wanted to eat and drink all 4 of us....I placed my card on the bar said HELLO bartender she walked right past us to other side of the bar not even a HELLO back? Or ask us what we were drinking????

I can now see why the MOOSE NEXT DOOR IS PACKED AND DOES NOT EVEN HAVE AN EMPTY PARKING SPACE SO THATS WHY WE FLOWED over here..bad choice..@#$%& Members come to these places to relax drink eat and patronize, surely this is not the place to go..go to the MOOSE OR VFW MINS AWAY...I guess this is why they have the slot machines for all the lost business...so sad 😔 😟 🙁 😥 😞 😿 DOMINO AFFECT FOR WAITRESS SERVING FOOD AND...

Last night at 7 pm I took my elderly neighbor, who is a Retired, Disabled Veteran to the American Legion on Venice Avenue in Venice Florida. My friend put the wrong membership card out on the bar and the tall dark haired bartender, at the bar furthest from the dance floor, started screaming at him that is was the wrong membership card. I asked her to stop screaming at my friend and she threw us out. He is so upset and I am astounded. Never in my entire life have I been so rudely handled. Everyone at the bar was heartbroken as was my elderly friend. Please could the bartender call and apologize to him. He is such a kind...

Great place to enjoy and watch a mix of different music and dance, waltz and country slow and fast offered with great food with a welcome from a bunch of friendly people.
