Abattoir: A Haunted Attraction — Local services in Vincennes

❤️🍝🥩🍲🍛🍜🍖🍷 I had a great time tonight (October 14, 2023) at the Abattoir Haunted Attraction! Its mid October; the chilly crisp air, gusty breezes, and clouds morphing through the sky amidst the old and historical buildings and trees of Vincennes were an appropriate backdrop for going into their 'tongue and cheek' restoration/ reenactment of a secret and hidden history that took place in that very same building 100 years ago.

There's lots of nervous laughter and some screaming outside; but, once inside I was immediately fascinated and intrigued by their illusions in sight, sound, and touch...; what you think is happening may not be what or all of what is actually happening. Things and creatures are everywhere yet nowhere at the same time then suddenly something you think is happening is not at all the main focus. GREAT set up this year! I've been through every year except last year and this one was by far the best! In fact this is the best haunted house i have been to for the price you pay. Something different and new at every turn with a ton of rooms. The longest haunted house I've been through in the area as well. More than worth the $20 and the wait to get in. Every year it seems to get better and better. The actors all played their parts well and the undead participants were creepy on their own. Will continue to come back every single year for as long as Abattoir stands. If you want to get your pants scared off come check it out. Through the years I've met people who have traveled hours to check out Abattoir and every one I've spoken to has really enjoyed it. If I could give it more than 5 stars i would! I can't wait to see what they come up...

Attended this last minute and I was very impressed! The staff outside was extremely friendly and accommodating. There were several groups ahead of me, but I only had to wait about 20-25 minutes before I got to go in, which is great for a Saturday.

The scareactors did a fantastic job. Shoutout to the one in the dining room who literally chased me around the table with a butcher knife and through a few rooms. Felt like I was in a horror game.

The sets and animatronics were well done and made for some great jumpscares. The idea of having to push through doors was very cool and terrifying in the right moments.
