I have been a regular customer Nails r us For years as I work right next-door. I thought that I was a favorite customer. During Christmas time I bought 4 gift certificates. I gave two away and save two for myself. I used one and when I went to look for the last one I couldn’t find it. I called and asked Micheal would he honor my gift certificate told him the amount and he said he would get back to me. I never heard from him I had to go into the salon myself. I asked Micheal would they honor my $70 gift card that I bought with cash he said oh no he can’t do it unless I have the Gift certificate number. If I had that I would have the gift card. To my surprise he said I’m sorry I we can’t honor that I even asked can I just get my nails dipped not my toes done and he refused. I felt like I was a stranger. I will never go to this salon again. I went to a new salon (Onyx nail salon) in Voorhees. Then I realize how dirty Nail R Us was. Onyx Nail Salon sprays all the chairs and tables down after each customer and washes their hands after each customer and also they use separate dip cups for dips they pour the dip into a cup for each customer. The atmosphere at Onyx was so relaxing they were playing relaxing music and the girls were all professional and dress nice. They had a receptionist at the front desk where at nails R us Michael have to keep getting up to take money and constantly answering the phone. I have noticed that he has come to work coughing many times and sneezing in his mask very nasty I will never ever go to this place again. They don’t care about their customer they only care about the...
Read moreI specifically asked for shorter french tip nails and showed the tech a photo of exactly what I wanted, however there was clearly some miscommunication because it seemed that the tech understood and said it was possible but once she cut them she said they were too short to make the shape I wanted, which that’s fine no problem maybe we didn’t understand what each other was saying? Which I said no problem too and instead that I would just do a plain color because they were too short for French. The tech then proceeded to talk about me to the other techs next to her in her language as I could clearly understand her as she was pointing at my nails and saying words such as “short” and then “long” and “French”. Which it’s not necessary to talk about the client when it was solely miscommunication and I was agreeable to changing my original plan. This was weird but no problem, still let it go. Then later another tech comes up to me and says “where do you live? I live next to you” when clearly he doesn’t. I told him I don’t know him or live near him, he then ignored my question back asking where he lived and proceeded to start speaking in his language and laughing to the other techs about it. I personally could not see what was funny there? Honestly was a very weird experience. Giving them 2 stars bc my nails were okay, however I’ve been too so many better salons in cherry hill - specifically olive nail lounge/akoi nail spa - they actually will do your nails as you ask for them. Would...
Read moreI had the powder dip and in less than a week it was coming loose. It looked horrible because it was too thick. After much sanding it still looked awful but I did not want to hurt the tech's feelings. A week later I returned for repair an decided to just get gel nail polish instead. The tech was rude this time and after she finished she wiped my hands with alcohol and said I was finished. After using deadly acetone and alcohol I had to ask to wash my hands! No cuticle oil this time. I walked out with no moisturizer. The next day I realized that gel polish is 10.00 more then dipping powder. I called the owner who refused to give back the difference. These nail salons seem to be the same. The don't prep your cuticles but charge ridiculous prices to rush you in and out. It is no wonder it does not last. A manicure used to mean your nails were soaked and cuticle were pushed back before thhey did the treatment. Now they simply use files to ruin your nail bed and charge you a premium to do so. I thought this place would be different but it was no different then anywhere else. I will just do my own nails and keep the...
