Lord I had the worst experience with Food Lion, it was with a Klarna card, long story short I was treated very disrespectful by Jodi, I did get two calls from the head office one said her would get them to permission to key it in well I went back and she said she couldn't do it so I left bottom line Klarna was having some up dates and it would not load to my wallet but the card was there. First I asked another food lion and they said they do have the ability to key it in. I also go a call the head boss and he was nice and he said everything they are trained to say. Well Jodi called me and so I just went an paid the cash. I really feel like I will be going out of town and doing my shopping I can't stop eveyone from going there but I will at least ask my family members not to shop there. They caused me to get even farther behind in my bills because I would never have purchase that much food. Its funny one of the little guys was talking to me at the service desk while i was waiting on Jodi and he saw her a basically ran no reason for him to be scared of a Manager. Read moreI have been shopping at Food Lion for years. I have purchased quite a bit of groceries from them. I have met some really nice employees. Venus was an especially helpful one to me when I had a large order from the deli and bakery. She made sure everything was as I wanted it to be. Now she is gone. I don't know why. The black girl they have now doesn't want to accommodate me at all. I asked her to bake a cake for my special needs,adult son. She refused even afyer I explained how much he wanted a chocolate cake. I called on Monday to order a cake for the next day so she wouldn't do it because it needed to be 48 hours notice. REALLY??? Then today while shopping i just picked up a pound cake and requested she put sprinkles on it for someone in am giving a cake to. She wouldn't do it because the cake wasn't frosted. What difference does it make?? I am the one paying for it. If I want sprinkles on any cake I feel I should be able to get it. That's ridiculous I believe! To end on a positive note, the black male cashier was very helpful and polite today so all wasn't a washout. However, they need to improve their bakery and deli staff or they will lose more business...

As the cashier was checking us out she placed our pack of T-Bone steak and small pack of lean ground steakhouse Angus beef to the side as she continued ringing up our groceries. I assume she would be honest to bag all of our groceries. However after paying over $140 in cash to the cashier we left, once home my husband asked where the steaks were. We immediately called the store and no answer then this morning we continued to reach out to the store but no answer. So I reached out to corporate and was told to go back to the store with the receipt and communicate this information to their representative/ manager. Update: We received 1 of our missing items without hesitations and hassle. Customer service was superb professional and apologetic. I recommend this location for professional and honest staff and business. We just gonna charge that pack of ground beef to the game because maybe the employee is stressing for money and needed to feed her family as well. God bless her.
