Plantation Peanuts — Local services in Wakefield

There are several peanut farms in Wakefield, but I'm writing this because Plantation is the one to choose. We have stopped at the retail store on the way back from NC every year for a long time. I also have done sizable joint internet orders with co-workers. Not only are their actual nuts a superior product, but their variety is the best around by a mile. Their spiced nuts are done properly with fine granularity they doesn't just settle at the bottom of the can. Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Support your local businesses, and if you're in the area, definitely swing by and spend some money -- any true nut fan will NOT regret...

Stopped in this little store August 2022 on way back from Virginia Beach & saw the signs for buying fresh, local grown peanuts & decided to stop in. The 1st thing I noticed was peanut field's on both sides of the road as far as I could see. Upon entering the place, it has a "country-charm"feel. Very clean. The lady working. She was helpful. Almost Any type of fresh sweets with peanuts is here. I bought homemade Peanut Brittle. Amazing crunchy taste! Also, treats & sweets without peanuts too. There's such a large variety to choose from. I have been sending Plantation Peanuts to clients and friends for well over 20 years for holiday treats. In recent years the customer service has slowly gotten worse and I found that ownership changed hands several years ago, which seems to explain a lot. Many of my “Thanksgiving” gifts were sent too late this year, in spite of assurances they would be shipped in time. Excuses were made and facts misrepresented afterwards as to what was promised.
