I purchased a refrigerator and dishwasher from Smith's appliance which totaled a $3000 purchase. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN!!! I have never been treated so poorly by the owner of a business. I originally went into store inquiring about a new refrigerator. I had told the sales lady about a problem with our dishwasher in casual conversation. I specifically said we had a plumbing problem. I was quickly sold a dishwasher too and reassured they can handle the problem. I would not need to hire a plumber. Installation day came and the installers (which were very nice and professional) told me, I had a problem. They do not handle such issues generally and they are not plumbers. The installer was very nice, and we came up with a solution, so the dishwasher could get installed. I will later have to hire a plumber to fix the overall problem (which i am fine with). This was satisfactory to me, and he went back to store to get parts. This is where everything fell apart. I received a phone call from the owner, yelling at me. She was extremely rude and basically called me a liar. She told me no one on her staff said that and they do not do plumbing. She said she asked her staff and they said no one promised that. Not alone is the owner rude but the sales staff lie. Now, I understand things can happen; however, she never called with intend to fix the problem. She just called and yelled at me. I offered to cancel the dishwasher if it was going to be a problem and her response was "we'll see how it all ends". In the end, the installer was able to install the appliance; but I have never felt so...
Read moreOver a period of many years, my husband and I spent many hundreds of dollars on appliances from Smith Appliance, and for the most part, everything we bought lasted a good long while with maybe a minor repair or two. Six years ago I again bought new appliances, and after only 3 or 4 years, my microwave (not a cheap one) "bit the dust." Smiths' tech checked it out and said it could not be repaired for much less than the cost of a new one....so, even though I was unhappy about the short life of this appliance, I bought another from Smith Appliance (with no offer to cut any kind of deal). A week ago my dishwasher (purchased from Sears) broke and flooded my kitchen. A call to Smith Appliance seeking their help left me furious. They would not come to look at it because they do not service Kenmore products. I was furious because this Kenmore DW was actually a Whirlpool appliance, and Smith advertises that they service Whirlpool appliances. Their loss....I had to purchase a new DW, and I did not purchase it from them. I'm sure they could not care less, but they have seen and heard the last from me and any one who might ask for my opinion about where to...
Read moreWe recently purchased a Speed Queen washer from Smith's Appliance. I had done my research for the best top loader machines and Speed Queen was in the top five. I looked up places thar carried that brand and found Smith's Appliance. We were greeted quickly upon entering the store. Our salesperson seemed very knowledgeable about their products. She answered all our questions. We decided on the Speed Queen. They are not cheap but included in the price was delivery, set up, instructions on operating the machine and haul away. Our delivery guys were awesome! The machine does not have a lot of bells and whistles. It does a fantastic job at cleaning. Old stains that my 2 year old Whirlpool could not remove are gone. It does not become un level like my Whirlpool did frequently. It is quiet. I can pause it and add extra items. I was worried about the capacity size but I can get quite a bit in it including a Queen bedspread. When we need another major appliance purchase, we will go back to...
