K & T Disposal, Inc. — Local services in Washburn

In Metamora we had McCullough Disposal for more years than I remember. As the time went on Fred handed the business down to his boys. Those boys continued spoiling us just like their Dad did. Then after several years they sold out the business. It was taken over by an outfit out of Peoria. It didn’t take long till I was unhappy. Lots of weeks my can wasn’t completely empty after dumped. The lid was left open. With that big lid it did take much wind to blow the can over onto the street. And the can was left on the street almost every week. With my wife and I both working, the traffic would have to drive around the can. I did walk out one day and very nicely ask the two guys on the truck to please not leave the can on the street. Guess they didn’t understand me because it continued. So I called Rocky at LaRose Disposal. Rocky took great care of me and I had no complaints. But then after a while Rocky sold out. All of a sudden I end up with the same outfit I had fired. Not only that, but they had another company they own picking up at my Washburn house. So I was getting Bill’s from two different companies. Both headquartered in different cities. And their rates were higher. Then I heard of K&T Disposal in Washburn. I called the number and talked to Shane. What a nice guy. I told him why I was unhappy with the other two. Shane understood. I’ve never met him yet, but you can bet I’ll be stopping by one of these days. So K&T picks up both of my houses. My money stays in are county. Did I mention my bills are back to what I use to pay. The employees are always friendly, and do a great job. I am very much satisfied. Thank you to Shane and the K&T employees. I’m spoiled again.... If anyone is unhappy with your garbage pick up, give Shane a call. Tell him Curly...

Large family of 10. I have spoken directly to the boss. He knows we have a large family. We've offered to pay extra for extra pickup. We've NEVER BEEN INFORMED OF a Can limit. I've left an anonymous review of their website. And anonymous meaning they shouldn't be able to discriminate.... Yet we were just TOLD there terminating us due to the review comment... I'm sorry for speaking truth. I have 6 school age children they ALL bring home papers that go to garbage... We have 10 mouths to feed. Extra garbage from food waste... This is unacceptable. For over a year we've dealt with half pickup or none. We pay our bills. We've been a late a handful of times due to the lack of office hours or line pickup when you call. They take a month to cash your checks. And have no online bill pay options. They REFUSE to contact if you're late, or over limit. They JUST SIMPLY DON'T PICK UP YOUR GARBAGE... THIS is not how you should do business. Terrible company. Cheap. So I guess you get what...

We switched to K&T a few months ago and could not be happier! Our first reason to switch was the weekly pickup. Our last service only came twice a month (and often forgot to pick up our trash). But now, the quality of K&T’s service will keep our business. Today I was home when they picked up our trash.
