Burt's Farms — Local services in Washington Township

Still going here weekly, everyone here is so friendly and they genuinely enjoy their customers. They've been very good to me, I can get any cut of meat I need, and they will recommend a cut if I say what I'm making which is awesome. Bones for the pooch too! Even the little stuff you forgot at the store, Love Burts Farms will never go anywhere else!

I am new to the area and knew that I wanted to find a local butcher to get fresh meat from. I am so glad I went to Burts Farms, I was greeted kindly from the moment I walked in. I met the butcher, his wife and two other employees, I felt so welcomed. I was told about all their different meats, how it was prepared and met the man preparing it. It's nice to avoid the hustle and bustle of the grocery stores but more importantly it's nice to know exactly where your meat comes from and know what your eating. I think shops like this bring people together, there isn't enough of that today that's for sure. They have such a beautiful assortment of different meats. So many cuts and types to choose from, beef, pork, chicken, sausage, hot dogs, different flavors, smoked meats, cheeses, you name it, it's here. The butcher even recommend and cut a special roast for me with extra fat. The triple smoked bacon was enjoyed tonight, I can honestly say I will never go back to grocery store meat. If you like home town feel, quality, fresh, friendly and reasonably priced meat, you have to go here. Let's support our local businesses more and stop eating over priced meat that we have no idea what's actually put in it. Cheaper, better meat with better...

Great people, great meat, and great prices. No reason to go anywhere else and pay more for less of lesser quality and questionable ingredients . You leave with a smile on your face and wholesome food in the bag so it's worth the extra few minutes to make this a separate shopping stop AND YOUR MAN WON'T MIND GOING TO PICK IT UP LOL. They have seafood, chips, dips and other foods, snacks and sides as well as the excellent meats. Very cool unique creations like the bacon wrapped pinwheels are excellent fun to try during grill season. The hot dogs and Triple Smoked Thick Cut Bacon are great! All smoked meat is smoked on site! Only gripe is sometimes they run out of or don't always have what you (I) want, and that's fine, but they tell you to call ahead to check and that's fine too but I have called more than once and either been told they have it or to just come in only to get there less than an hour later to find confusion and or none of the item I called about and then they tell me to call ahead next time to check! My girl called a month ahead of time to order Prime Rib for Christmas Eve, called ahead the week of to make sure, and sent me there to pick it up only to find out they had no idea what I was talking about. About 15 mins later they found another order had been canceled and I got the meat (best prime rib I have ever had BTW) but they were still going around trying to figure out who took the order, where and when (not that it mattered at that point.). Burt’s Farm’s is the local butcher shop from days gone by. They are so friendly and helpful. You might pay a little bit more for the meat than the grocery store but it is so worth it. It just tastes better. They give you recommendations on how to cook what you buy and don’t mind educating you on different cuts if meat. The charcoal and pub steaks are so good. Plus they carry Chef Tim’s (and if you don’t know what that is you need to stop by and find out!). We only buy our meats here now, especially the bacon, no other bacon is as good as Butcher Bill’s!
