Great clean store, I got a bunch of rasboras there a little while ago and all are still perfectly healthy, no deaths! Not all tanks are filled yet but they still had a varied selection. It looked like 1 or 2 tanks had an ick outbreak (which happens, I get that) but the amazing this was each tank had their own filtration system, a big sponge filter. So even if a tank in the store had an illness I still felt comfortable buying there, which is not something I haven't seen before. There was a 'quarantined' sticker on the sick ones which showed me the owner recognized it and is taking care of the issue, not just leaving them in there hoping for the best and potentially spreading it to unknowing customer's tanks. I wish the bettas were kept in something other than the tiny cups, I have seen other stores with a wall display just for bettas and each had their own small tank - that sort of system would unfortunately share water between them but if I'm going to buy a ~$35 betta I would like to see treated better than the $6 ones at petco, unless the turnover is extremely quick and guys are flying off the counter. Its a newer store so hopefully it will only get even better. I will be back, its hard to find a clean store that has...

First off, I never leave reviews. I did feel obligated to leave one after we had such a pleasant experience today.

I have been quietly looking around local pet/fish stores for my son’s fifth birthday, and I was shocked at how sad/sick most of the fish seem in other stores. NOT here - the fish at Exotic Aquatics are healthy, beautiful, and very well kept. I saw one of the most beautiful clown fish I’ve ever seen in a tank at this location.

On top of that, I have been asking questions about betta tank mates and have gotten the same “oh no you can’t keep ANYTHING with a betta” response at the other stores. Which is false, if you actually look into it. As long as bettas have a large enough tank, there are a few tank mates that work well with them!

I was pleasantly surprised that the staff here were friendly and knowledgeable about betta tank mates and food. I will absolutely be coming back!
