Hunan Wok — Restaurant in Washington Township

If youve ever had good/decent Chinese food in the past then this place will seriously disappoint you. This is the 2nd time Ive ordered from them in about the last 1.5 years....and this will be the last (I always give a place a 2nd chance....it was also bad the first time).

The food is not good (likely the result of sub-standard ingredients to save a buck), the sauces are lousy and very sparse, and their vegetables are either over-cooked or SERIOUSLY undercooked. Don't even get me started on the quality of their proteins (ugghhh).

I'm assuming that they take shortcuts because they know they are the ONLY place that delivers around here....no competition. Shame. There are a couple of good places around the oxford/Washington area....but its only takeout.

If you HAVE to get food from this place, I suggest going with the basics (won-ton soup, egg rolls, Gen Tso's chicken, shrimp fried rice). They aren't good either but they at least taste a LITTLE like they are supposed to.

I gave 3 stars to the service because the lady who took my order on the phone ...

Customer for over 5 years plus Food is a standard fusion of California meet Asia What is standing out is the fact that food is of good quality , fresh , well spiced. If it is a ginger shrimp with bean sprouts that what it is. Generous portions including small dishes they are actually large enough to feed 1&1/2 person. The Lady “ Boss” is super nice ,speaking good English so is super easy to order over phone and in real time . Just heads up… busy place, if U R ordering for more than 2 better call ahead. The only thing I would suggest to upgrade is the dine in area Most customers do takeout but would be nice to seat down and enjoy hot foods there. But it is a rental property so they maybe little limited Any way deeply...

11/7/15 - Ordered from here 3 times in past 4 weeks. Delivery took an hour and 10 minutes 1st time, hour and 40 minutes 2nd time and 2 hours and 15 minutes tonight. Having ordered from here in the past, Food is no where as good as it used to be. Very nice American girl that delivers the food told me tonight that they are under new management here, are rude to employees and are using poor quality food. They also raised the minimum delivery charge from 25 to 45 dollars. Disappointing...

Your best bet now for decent food is your kitchen Chinese food which is at corner of 31 and asbury...
