Lehigh Gap — Local services in Washington Township

Very beautiful section of the D&L trail. Essy bike ride on the compacted crushed stone trail. The remnants of a lehigh coal and navigation company train station is here. I kinda want to have a fund rasier and have it rebuilt and fill it with historical stuff. Im sure the lehifh township historical society and D&L trail committee have authentic items from the train station that was here. But it's a great place. Go 1 way your at the nature center and toward east Penn nature reserve. And jim Thorpe/ Lehigh gorge. Go the other way you go into slatington pa then triechlers then Laurys station then cementon then you must cross the 329 bridge to continue on canal street section. Which leads into Catasaqua. And down...

Nice, but abrupt, parking lot off 248. I read one guide that said lot is gated after 430 pm, another 24 hr access, sorry, I used within daylight hours. But hike up, north, from here is nowhere as bad as I've had people say....
