The Right Fit has not only been helping me find my dream dresses for the past eight years, but Deb along with her fellow award winning seamstresses have altered them PERFECTLY! With my hips, bust, and waist all being completely different sizes, it’s always so tricky finding a dress that fits me correctly. That’s never a problem though when shopping, and getting my dresses altered at The Right Fit! Deb has dressed me for multiple school dances, Miss Teen Nj, Birthday Dresses, New York Fashion Week, and multiple special occasions! I’ve gotten compliments on my dress and how perfectly they fit me at every event, every time! I absolutely cannot be more thankful for Deb and her amazing team over at The Right Fit. Speaking about the owner herself, Deb, she is one of the most caring women I have ever come across in my life! Not only does she treat every single person who walks through her door like family, she treats every dress she’s altering like her own! You will genuinely not get this type of treatment at any other dress store! Not to mention Deb ALWAYS finds a way to “make it work” for her customers busy schedules! Meaning if your coming in with a week to spare, she will go above and beyond to accommodate you and your needs (she’s done it for me & I’ve seen her do it for many people multiple times!) Okay so I want to start this off by saying that I work in this industry and do know what I am talking about. I am also a wedding blogger who shops at multiple salons for experience to help smaller businesses, also a frequent flyer at bridal shows and Expos in the TriState Area. I made an appointment For my bridesmaids to try on dresses, we were so excited and wanted to give smaller boutiques our business. Our consultant/staff (i forget her name but she had short brown hair) was 15 minutes late to our appointment and when she finally did come in she was obviously disinterested in helping. I asked her questions and she would either flat out ignore me or roll her eyes and give me a lazily mummers like she was taking under her breathe. Her attitude was disgusting, disrespectful, demeaning, and frankly unprofessional. She should not be in this industry and i can not for the life of me comprehend how she has been a sales person for as long as she has. She even stated she worked for Alfred Angelo before. This is where i would like to restate that I work in this industry, and practically do the same job as her. so after her condescending comments and ignorance towards myself and my family i politely brought it up as maybe it would change her approach to me, it didn’t. The whole thing is rather unfortunate because i have 6 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls, 3 mothers and 3 grandmothers who are in need of dresses, and guess what, you’re not the only salon in town. There is no doubt that Deb is a talented dress maker/seamstress. When my original option for altering my wedding dress fell through with about 6 weeks to spare, she took me on as a client and made the timeline work. The dress worked out beautifully after 2-3 fittings. A couple things I would say about The Right Fit: as it says online, it’s mostly a prom and pageant dress shop. It’s small and humble, with sparkle sequence and teenagers everywhere. There is nothing “bridal” about the feel of it, and you get no special treatment being a bride vs the 15 year old searching for homecoming dresses in the curtained cubby next to you. Deb is a little rough around the edges and she can be scatter brained, she definitely needs to be reminded who you are and when you need your dress, etc. That said, if you can withstand the abrasive bedside manner and aren’t looking for any special client experience, Deb is very good at what she does and will alter your dress so that it fits great, you just need...
