My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Italy and everytime we were on our way to another landmark we would stop and grab a gelato to enjoy on the walk. Here in the states, there are a handful of places that claim to have gelato, but it’s basically an ice cream in disguise…. But then Dolce Vita opened and from the first taste we were transported back to the streets of Rome. The options in flavors cover all the Italian classics and each one is more delicious than the last. The ultimate test was the Pistacchio and everything from the consistency/cream level to the color (perfect shade of green) to the flavor (delicious) is exactly how the best gelato places in Rome make it. I might buy out the flavors most days, but come down and grab whatever I can’t finish!! :)

Finally, a place in the US that offers both 1. Nocciola (hazelnut) gelato, and 2. brioche!!! Never understood the American aversion to gelato with brioche, but people, do yourself a favor — stop with the gelato in a cup and give brioche a chance. It’s a sweet, buttery bread that pairs perfectly with gelato. You start off by eating the beginning of the gelato with a spoon, until you can get it manageable enough to eat the rest like a sandwich. It puts an ice cream cone to shame. Also, highly recommend the nocciola flavor. It’s incredibly hard to find here in the US, so take advantage. Best flavor that there is. Very aesthetically pleasing place with kind staff. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be back!

My absolute favorite place! I’ve tried multiple places for gelato and nothing beats Dolce Vita! Their ingredients are so fresh and imported from Italy which you cannot beat! The pistachio flavor is to die for and I usually am not a pistachio person. Nick, the owner studied gelato in Italy and you can tell the difference. Kim, the other owner and his wife, is the absolute sweetest. The coffee is imported from Italy as well and I’m absolutely obsessed with their cappuccinos and iced Venezia’s! Grace makes it perfect every time. The inside of the shop makes you feel like you're transported to Italy! It's such a clean, calm, friendly environment. 10/10 would recommend!

OMG! If you like ice cream you have to go to this absolute treasure! You will never eat ice cream again! This gelato is pure heaven in a cup!!! It’s so creamy and delicious!!! If you like water ice there water based offering is so much better then water ice! It’s smooth and creamy and so refreshing!!! It’s so so so good!!! I’ll never eat regular water ice again!!! The owner and her daughter are so sweat and awesome! They are truly a delight!!! Welcoming and so helpful!!! It’s a family run business and you can tell they truly have passion and love for what they do and want to make people happy! The owner also went to Italy and studied under gelato chefs and he is certified gelato maker!!! God he is a phenomenal expert gelato maker!!! The place is absolutely adorable inside you feel like you’re on Italian riviera!!! Oh, even if you don’t have to go to the bathroom you have to take a peek in it!!! I won’t ruin it but it is spectacular! I can’t believe those isn’t a 5 rating actually for this place they should lift the rating to 6!!!! We can’t wait to go back!!!!! Once you go you won’t ever go to a regular ice cream place!!!!...

This is one of South Jersey’s most precious gems that I stumbled upon many months ago thanks to a recommendation by Nor’easter Nick. A family run business and from the time you hit the door you feel welcome!Their passion for Italy turns into pleasure for all who walk through those doors.

On my most recent visit I ordered the Crème Brûlée definitely recommend! Its on par with the Franklinville Inn’s Crème Brûlée ! Luxurious dessert at an affordable price point they have managed to do it again!

Looks delicious and taste even better…

I also tried the pistachio gelato and on cold day in New Jersey it warmed me from the inside out! How is that even possible? Its a magical experience each time I enter those doors I never leave disappointed. If you are a foodie like me and love experiencing life with all of your senses this is a place you do not want to skip!

Now they have added gelato cakes and more that I cannot wait to try… I’m so excited to see this small business continue to expand the menu with flavor dreams and combinations that I’ve never even knew my tastebuds were...

The best gelato, hands down, I've ever had. I've tried gelato in at least 5 other states and nothing compares to it. I'm lactose intolerant and run into major issues with dairy, but because all of the ingredients come directly from Italy I've never had any issues. Goes to show you how much thought and care goes into creating the gelato. Nick and Kim are incredible and provide the best service around. Grace is very welcoming and is always ready to assist with anything you need. Dante keeps the business running with amazing tech that you would expect at a franchised company, not from a small business like this. Nick studied how to make gelato straight from Italy and is always open to any feedback on how to make anything better. They have a ton of great ideas on the horizon and I'm very excited for everything that's to come. You can never go wrong with any of their flavors. Even the cups and spoons are from Italy!
